To tell all of those who are still out and about unnecessarily to wisen up

Too many people still don't seem to be taking this seriously. Well, my husband has now become one of the statistics. He was taken to hospital on Monday evening and was dead by last night. I don't know where he picked it up but it didn't take long to go downhill fast.

I'm in a similar position and you're right, it's difficult at any time but now it's so much harder. We can only have immediate family to the funeral and lots of families are going to hold a memorial or a celebration of life later in the year. *

We're not being allowed to go to the cemetery. We have to do the whole thing via Zoom. The only upside is that family and friends from around the world will be able to watch as well.

Oh my, I didn't expect to read that when I opened your post. I am so, SO very sorry for your loss.
I want to ask how old he was, and if he had underlying health conditions, but would completely understand if you don't answer.

So sorry for your loss OP. We lost my Grandad on Sunday to the virus too and it was very fast. Spoke to him last Thursday and he was fine. Was admitted Saturday lunchtime and died early hours Sunday morning Sad
