Will the virus crisis kill off the EU?

Bearing in mind the sacrosanct free movement has been one of the first casualties, what next?

I don’t know if it will, but I hope it does. The EU is an awful institution that we are finally free of.

Why would anyone want our nearest neighbours to fail other than out of spite and bitterness? Seems weird to me.
