Tesco cancel my food order 1 hour before it was due to arrive

AIBU to be angry that Tesco texted me 30 minutes before my delivery was duevto arrive and tell me they cancelled my order. I have 2 sen children who are on the government list of vulnerable persons who need to self isolate for 12 weeks and as a single parent with no support system I can leave them alone to go out buy food. So, so angry at this as there is no delivery slots available for another home delivery request.

@Tarano17 now you have registered on the extremely vulnerable website, provided you ticked the ‘need help now’ option, the council should be round with a free supplies box (I got mine this morning). I’d give them a call on Monday to stress the urgency of the situation.

In the meantime, can any neighbours lend you some basics?

Sainsbury’s and Waitrose are going to be sent the extremely vulnerable list and in theory open up some delivery slots for us...

Sorry - last post. I second the previous poster’s idea of getting food on Amazon (not Amazon Fresh, which is not accepting orders). I got bulk bags of dried fruit, nuts, seeds, coffee and vitamin tablets next day delivery in case of emergency.

@manicinsomniac I get your thought processes and it's lovely that you are thinking of others around you xx There are a lot of people still having to go to work though and if they took a similar stance, there would be a hell of a lot of people in really difficult situations with their food shop.
