My lovely mum has pc, she's only in her fifties and had it a couple of years now but she's been very poorly recently, does anyone have any experience of what to expect? I had buried my head in the sand for a long time because she's been coping well but it's getting worse now. The worst of it is I cannot see her at the moment because of coronavirus Sad it's so shit

I'm so sorry for your loss. My amazing mum died last February so I understand how you feel right now. The feelings are unbearable and overwhelming and the thought of never speaking or seeing her again is like something you can't even begin to comprehend right now.

I'm just over a year on. It's still all of the above things but I promise you'll get through this, bit by bit. You won't always feel so panicky and afraid. But for now, it's absolutely awful and nothing helps much. It's important to look after yourself and eat properly and try and find some comfort in knowing that (for you) you had the best mum in the world.

Devastating for you, Marmite, I'm so very sorry. I hope you will be able to get some comfort from knowing that you were with your Mum right to the end - and she knew you were with her. Brew

whoami24 · 28/03/2020 01:45

So sorry for your loss marmite, I too lost my mum to this awful illness, coming up to a year now.

It does get easier and I cope with knowing she's no longer suffering.

Take each day as it comes and with the world so crazy at the moment it's going to be harder, try to keep busy and look after yourself
