It really is genius! 😷😄
Next door family have had sore throats and runny noses.
Done the right thing by isolating themselves. (Mum, dad and 2 primary age kids).
Her parents have called around for about an hour. Nothing urgent. Just wanted to say hello and chat.
So they stood in the back garden and all yelled at each other through a crack in the window!
They have been isolated for a week now. Parents live a few miles away, so had to drive here. All are fine with tech/phone/facetime

My teens (18,17 and almost 16) always go shopping with DH for Mother’s Day cards/presents and he always leaves it until the last minute 🤨
This year it meant that the kids didn’t make it to the shops as we are observing social distancing and only going out when absolutely necessary. They each made me a card, and it was wonderfully nostalgic for me it was like revisiting their nursery years Grin

I heard of a family who had a mother's Day car picnic, Grandparents in one car, 2 families in separate cars, all drive off to an isolated scenic spot, rolled all their windows down and shouted to each other while eating.

Personally we're having a joint playtime today. My son's best friend lives next door but one so we're kicking them out into the back gardens to talk/shout to each other at some point today. They're 8 and we're still working on getting skype set up with all their friends. Smile

if granny can do it

Love that. We might just be fitter at the end of this. And even have more Vit D from being outside (at safe distance).

I started doing slimfast but have buggered it up by having buttery cinnamon bagels in bed this morning. It was a Mother's Day present, as DS and DH forgot yesterday.

Back on the wagon for me!
