With playground equipment etc. They are 2 & 4 and getting them to go on "walks" is pretty hard but I worry about them not getting exercise.

Mine used to like running races; if we were stuck with no obvious activities eg ball/ bikes. I would set them a course and time them... it was fun.i also used to set treasure hunts with a badge or chocolate biscuit for a prize... very simple set of clues .., could pass quite a lot of time and they would do it together.Scavenger hunt also can work depending on where you are and you can string it out . I don't envy you parents with young children in these times ...

I’d be wary of big trampolines due to high risk of injuries for little ones. Probably more likely to come to harm from that than the virus.

Make assault courses in the garden
Do treasure hunts
Collect signs of spring and bring back to make pictures
Collect pebbles to paint
Do a photo walk - posing at various spots to take pictures for Grandma
Dance indoors or out
Action songs
Mini sports day with races

Yours are a bit young to hula hoop, sadly.

You can but they must stay at least 2m away from other children so no swing park if there are other kids on there. Also other kids will have touched the play equipment so no touching faces etc and use hand sanitiser when done.

Staying home whenever and wherever possible even when you have no symptoms is so important.

I have young children and have thought about driving to somewhere nearby that’s isolated (I’m lucky to live by Surrey Hills) and let them have a run round. However, so far we have no plans to go further than the back garden although when it rains I think we might go for that drive and see - I figure the rain will also help to keep people in and the children don’t care what the weather is.
