This week has been 💩. Dh who works in insurance is full of doom and gloom and now working again. ( on phone to Canada).

I had a tiny glass of red at 5.30 when I started cooking tea. I then followed this with a few glasses over the next 3 hours. I realised this was a bottle gone at about 9pm so went to the shop for another bottle and bought some loo roll as well as they had just taken delivery so I'm onto a winner
I'm feeling much much better than I have done all week. Fuck me I needed this. Massively fuckity fuck .

What a day, finally about to pour a glass. Can’t wait!

Can I join? 5 gins in and gutted to have run out of tonic. My mega expensive holiday has just been cancelled due to corona virus.

We havent had a holiday since 2016, muy DH spent the past 15 months or so quite badly depressed, we are unlikely to concieve our 2nd naturally and this holiday was supposed to be a consolation prize to that.

I also suffer from HG so cant book a holiday further out on the off chance I am preggers and too sick to travel/enjoy a holiday.

So I may just switch to neat gin.

Working from home for at least the next 6 weeks. Have to say I'm really relieved as I travel a lot. No booze in the house at present but tomorrow I intend to buy the biggest bottle of Disaronno I can find and then I'll play catch up with you lovely ladies. 🥃

to those losing out on holidays. I hope something can be salvaged in some way so you can still get away.

We somehow lucked out that way this year, we go away multiple times a year, although rarely abroad, but we decided a few months ago that this year we would just do day trips when we could and we'd try to build up the savings again after a few unexpected expenses last year ate into them. I have a low immune system so even any break in the UK we'd have had to cancel just in case. The two things we were planning on attending in the next couple of months hadn't released their tickets and are now cancelled.

On the plus side DH is going to apply for a passport this week. I bet he gets it in record time, as I imagine the staff are all sitting there twiddling their thumbs

I'm there @dingit. Love a bit of outside drinking. If I wasnt so drunk already I would fire up the hot tub (or sex pond to some mn'ers) and cry into the bubbles.

Do you know, there hasnt been a drunk thread around these parts since ...oooh the financial crash of 2008/9.
