To ask if you've upset a "celeb"?

I was very upset confused & amused to find that Noel Clarke has blocked me on Twitter.

I've never even interacted with the bloke & I really like him as an actor & the films & tv shows he's in. No fucking idea how I've come to be blocked 🤷🏼‍♀️😂

Have you ever upset a celebrity? Did you knick Baby Spice's parking space? Did you spill a drink on Keith Chegwin?

DH had a spat on twitter with Jason Plato about his driving style on-track some years ago. Neither came out of it covered in glory Hmm and Jason ended it by blocking DH. Bloody idiots the pair of them.

First night out after having the baby, I accosted the lovely Edward Reid in a theatre bar. Launched myself at him for air kisses and misjudged badly. Smeared Rimmel lipstick right across his crisp, gleaming white tuxedo jacket. It was a BIG scarlet skid mark. He was so gracious, I am still utterly mortified Blush

I upset Beyoncé and Jay-Z.

Was in NYC getting ready to watch Chicago and the lights dimmed. I was at the end of a row on the aisle seat, with an aisle between me and the next block of seats.

There was a bit of a fuss as a group came in to take their seats in the row behind me but just on the opposite side of the aisle.

Being very intolerant I turned around and it was Beyoncé and Jay-Z plus some very, very large body guards. I was so shocked I immediately faced front then did the ever so subtle slow head turn to check them out. I then told my (now) DH, who turned to look. He then pointed it out to his neighbour and pretty soon the whole place spited them. You could see the news travelling along the rows...

It was clearly me who outed them to the theatre and I got proper evils from Beyoncé over it. She was there to see Michelle Williams perform in it. Beyoncé has a lush pink Chanel jacket on with tiny denim hot pants and she was in Heat mag that week pictured there.

Yoko Ono once stayed in a hotel I worked at, I missed the start of service briefing where everyone was told under no circumstances to speak to Yoko, just her assistant.

Cue me bouncing over to the table ten minutes later and cheerily asking Yoko if she would like still or sparkling water.
Her assistants head nearly fell off.....

*spotted them

sixsquidswimming · 10/03/2020 21:13

Michael Caine came into a shop I was working in to place an order, I asked him his name because I didn't recognise him Grin

Morgan12 · 10/03/2020 21:16

Nobody was allowed to speak to Yoko! Thats ridiculous. What a prick she must be.

m4rdybum · 10/03/2020 21:17

Got blocked by the Saccone Joly's (YouTubers) for pointing out on Twitter that they had filmed videos whilst driving - and it was hypocritical they were now plugging safe driving with Ariva as one of their sponsors.

A couple years ago I was at ComicCon with my sons and the Cast of Rocky Horror was there. Nell Campbell was SOOOOO NICE. But Patricia Quinn was mad when I told my son to turn the phone (so the pic would be landscape instead of portrait), a pic I was paying for. She yelled at me that SHE would decide how the picture was taken. My oldest son (who was in the picture with me) still laughs and thinks its so great that I got yelled at by Magenta.

kungfupannda · 10/03/2020 21:21

DP once tutted at Kylie Minogue. She was apparently being very unaware in a busy airport.

MauriceandAlec · 10/03/2020 21:24

How totally wanky and shameful of her. Not surprised.

PardonWhat · 10/03/2020 21:28

Princess Anne.
I was gobsmacked the other week to be alongside her on the motorway.
It made sense how a Volvo 4X4 (full of people in black clothing on further inspection) kept getting in between me and the car in front as if to create a barrier.
When I was alongside it made sense. She looked up from her paper and didn’t appear impressed by me gawking. But then again, the window was rather tinted.

What a tit. I think I’d rather risk my job than dignify that shit shower!

mamasiz · 10/03/2020 21:31

I have no negative stories about celebs. DH freelances for the Beeb and meets celebs weekly (I know). We bumped into Michael Kiwanuka and his lovely wife when we were both on our honeymoons. Went out for dinner with them the next night. Lovely, lovely man.

GabsAlot · 10/03/2020 21:40

I cant stand that shit of dont talk to them directly-theyre not above the rest of us i would have refused

PondLover · 10/03/2020 21:41

Well, surely that’s because his job involves not pissing off celebrities, @mamasiz? I mean, if my job involved not pissing off Heather Mills or not not recognising footballers, I’m sure I’d have managed not to, but luckily it doesn’t.

SunshineCake · 10/03/2020 21:43

@TheNestedIf has the best oneGrin.

mamasiz · 10/03/2020 21:56

@PondLover I actually meant I had no stories about pissing celebs off. Pretty sure DH has done so a few times!

MadameBee · 10/03/2020 22:11

I knocked a glass of red wine over Debbi McGee when waitressing back in the 90s.

She was lovely about it

QuestionableMouse · 10/03/2020 22:14

Years ago I worked for a woman who had was eventing at a decent level and taking lessons from an Olympic event rider.

I was waiting to take the horse after one lesson (the Olympic event rider had been riding) and she threw the reins at me. They hit me in the face and I yelped. She went mental at me for being a wimp then stalked off.

Until that point I'd really looked up to that rider until that point.

QuestionableMouse · 10/03/2020 22:17

I also managed to upset Liam Doran one year at Lydden Hill. He shoved past me and the toggle on my bag hooked on his racing suit. He ended up towing me along while getting increasingly annoyed while I tried to get unhooked.

Wildthyme · 10/03/2020 22:19

I've got the same name as a celeb, down to the spelling. They wanted me to desist using my real name on all platforms in case people thought I was the celeb. I refused. They got arsey and asked Twitter, I stå and Facebook to take my name away. They all refused too. Now celeb has to have a 1 after their name.

Chickenwing · 10/03/2020 22:33

Gary Lewis once told me to get my feet off the seats on a train.

mamaca · 10/03/2020 22:35

I got a dirty look from Johan Cruyff when my phone rang in the middle of him taking a shot at a golf pro-am - I had forgotten to put it on silent Blush

Youcunnyfunt · 10/03/2020 22:43

Some model, about 20 years ago. I didn’t (and don’t) know who he was. I asked him where the toilet was. He look withering at me, and replied, “Why, would I, know where the toilet is?”
I just shrugged and said, Well, we all need the loo, don’t we!

He looked snottily at me, and started saying “Don’t you know who I a-“

And with that, a group of screaming, running teenagers nearly tackle the pair of us. I left him with the screaming girls!
