To think ignoring candidates after two interviews is fucking rude?

Had two interviews a few weeks ago with a huge multinational, at their request, all fine, then complete radio silence. Not via a recruiter. I have chased politely for feedback (once via email and once via voice message) and nothing, not even a form email. I get that people are busy, I get that decisions take time. But AIBU to think even if you're short on time, or courtesy, you must realise it give a terrible impression of your company?

You are a good recruiter not like others making excuses why they don't want to treat someone like a person and actually do a HR/recruiters job.

If numbers 3/4 start getting uppity and pressurising our HR for a decision, they will get instantly rejected.

Since when is HR the ones to have a say on (non-HR) recruitment?
It doesn't really work like that, does it. I am not saying they are not involved, but HR professional are not recruiters.

The type of attitude as witnessed in that post is why 99% of negative feedback on LinkedIn is towards recruiters. It’s like a power trip to people having that ability to control someone’s life - when in actual fact rather than be so negative towards people who are obviously just very keen on a role with the company why not just appreciate that fact and encourage them. They might be number 3/4 now but in a few years they might be number 1 candidate next time a vacancy comes up.

Even if they don’t get the job you want this person to apply again in future for other roles. Sending decline messages because they dared to question the recruitment process and time constraints is ludicrous! And I help with input as to the outcome of an interview but I’m not allowed to just decline someone because they’re ‘uppity’ so I think this is a bit of a tall tale going on here.

I once was hassled for feedback by a candidate we sent home at lunchtime (some other were kept for the afternoon). She was told she would receive feedback the next day but she called us over lunch demanding to know why she’d been “overlooked”. She was incredibly rude to me too because she had to wait on hold for two minutes whilst being put through to me!!! Maddddd!!!!
