So last night I had an insanely weird, very vivid dream...
Tbh most of it is boring, but the bit that really fucking got me

I was driving an Austin Metro!!!!

For a start they were already well old by the time I learnt to drive in 2001, I now only ride motorbikes, and the best bit is I've not been in one since primary school but my brain replicated the interior perfectly (I googled!).

Just why?'??

Why not a fucking Ferrari or something??

Why a perfect replica of a Metro ffs??

My brain is clearly weird. [Confused]

AIBU to think dreams are fucked up?

I had a dream Phil Collins was my husband. We had a huge house out in the country, he wanted to turn it into a Phil Collins themed park...like Dollywood.

We had a huge fight and i took the pet alpaca and left. He ended up marrying Nicola Sturgeon after our divorce...

I’ve had one reoccurring dream since my teens. I’m in a car, old gangster type with running boards down there side. We’re driving towards some English village, the entrance to which is up a hill and has an old stone archway across the road.

Just before I get there the man sat in the back seat with me opens my door, stabs me and pushes me out. I’m holding on to the running board then hit the ground and wake up.

It’s very odd.

I had a dream about a game show for pirates once, it was great!

I am also always falling off chairs in my dreams and always from standing

I once dreamed that I was drink driving and didn't want the police to catch me so I drove into a field. When I went over the kerb though my car broke in two and I was just driving the front half.

As a teenager I dreamt I gave birth, at school to a baby and a black Labrador puppy. I have the dog to a friend and then my baby turned into a helium balloon and I tied string to it's leg and pulled it round school for the rest of the day. Confused

I am absolutely crying with laughter over the electric toothbrush baby! The brain is a weird and wonderful thing

I dreamt my husband killed someone by accident but he was already in court accused in the wrong for another murder so he'd never be believed that this was an accident. He was useless at hiding the body. After several attempts I got all stroppy saying I suppose I'll have to do this as well! I was so happy to wake from that dream. 😃

Here's where my people are hiding!

Last nights dream involved standing on a platform in the sea, it was a bar - dark straw hut. The tide was coming in and waves were coming over the platform. I knew I had to jump and swim to the shore but had DD with me. So I turned her into a ten pound note and popped her in my pocket. I couldn't remember the spell to change her back Confused

Waaaay too much nanny plum in our house right now.

A few nights ago I dreamt I trapped jimmy savile in a fold up sun lounger. I was shocked when I woke as to how violent I was toward him. He was proper folded up and I kept opening and shutting where his head was.

I love dreams, the whole randomness of not knowing what will happen just as you drift off Smile

I dreamt I was being chased by vampires and the only way to get rid of them was to shove Turkish delight up my arse.

ALongHardWinter · 10/03/2020 01:38

OMG I'm nearly crying with laughter at the 'breastfeeding male celebrities' and the 'baby electric toothbrush' one!Grin

caketiger · 10/03/2020 02:40

I genuinely believe our brains are mostly just decompressing, like a computer defragging. The key bits are the over riding emotions. But for the most part I don't take my dreams seriously.

DropYourSword · 10/03/2020 02:44

I would have loved that dream. My first car was an Austin Metro. I fucking loved it!!

sixsquidswimming · 10/03/2020 02:44

My dreams always involve a foreign country and being chased or being in a mission or moving to a new house with a hated ex who I am very glad I never have to see again. Neither are good dreams.
I used to dream that an elderly relative had died but I haven't had that dream since the day before they did.

Two nights ago I dreamed that we were living in my husband's work car (!! ??) and I'd left the doors open to air the place out. Went inside a house we were parked at, came out to find that the car had been stolen by Dr Higgins's receptionist (Australian GP who came home from Italian holiday with a bit of a cold, proceeded to see 70+ patients over the course of the next 3-4 days and has now tested positive for Covid-19) and I'm on the phone to said doctor telling him to get it sorted and get our car/house back ... I was going to say you couldn't dream this shit up but I did Grin
