Quite a pricey one but a snack nonetheless. Not ham that’s earmarked for sandwiches etc.

OP posts:
Notso · 06/03/2020 19:55

Is it naice ham?

Snowy111 · 06/03/2020 19:55

Tends to be a snack for low carbers. Not sure if it’s as healthy as similar chicken portion , as it’s more processed?

Ouchaheadinmybehind · 06/03/2020 19:56

Ooh slices of ham spread with laughing cow cheese and rolled up.
Really want some now but I don’t have either

IHaveBrilloHair · 06/03/2020 19:58

Course it can, if you have teenagers who decide a family pack of ham is a snack it's quite expensive, but noting actually wrong with a reasonable amount.

DishRanAwayWithTheSpoon · 06/03/2020 19:58

I always sneak a slice or two of ham/salami from the fridge. Even better is folded in half with some cream cheese. Brunswick ham is the best ham

Theres not really a lot of calories in a pack of ham, no more than a pack of crisps.

BillieEilish · 06/03/2020 19:59

yes, I would have cold chicken slices or similar.

Claudia I don't give a shit about calories. Why do you assume I do? Some very active people need a huge amount of instant protein. Not me though.

A packet of processed ham is crap. I would not eat a whole packet of it.

You really don't need to challenge my peronal opinion that the OP has asked for. Cheers.

JasonBrun · 06/03/2020 19:59

It has only been in the last couple of years that I can buy ham to not just eat immediately as a snack. YANBU. Ham is an excellent snack.

DishRanAwayWithTheSpoon · 06/03/2020 20:01

I just looked at my pack of ham in the fridge and it's only 125kcal for the whole pack!

Don't think I need to be running spin classes to eat that.

Samtsirch · 06/03/2020 20:01

If you are following a low carb diet then it’s the perfect snack.

Alsohuman · 06/03/2020 20:02

Used to do this all the time when I was low carbing. As a pp says, cream cheese or roule just adds to the joy. .

Seymoursyourfriend · 06/03/2020 20:05

A couple of slices of ham, Tesco’s finest coleslaw and a packet of walkers cheese and onion used to be my lunch. I happily ate it amongst lots of tuts and sidewards looks from work colleagues. Of course, their microwave meals, pasties and sausage rolls were much more nutritious 🧐

Go for it! 👌

BillieEilish · 06/03/2020 20:06

Again, I don't care about calories.

The same as I don't eat bacon. I wouldn't scarf down a packet of processed ham as a snack. It is so processed.

But, we know neither whether it is nice ham or shit ham or how big the packet is. Or if she is in between teaching a sports class or not, needing instant protein. Or if indeed, like many seem to confuse AIBU on this thread, this should be on a dieting thread.

I am not talking about diets. I am answering would I eat a packet of ham as a snack. No I would not. Move on.

DaphneFanshaw · 06/03/2020 20:09

I was about to say it depends on if the ham is naice.
I am definitely going to try a ham /cheese roll thing.

SconNotScone · 06/03/2020 20:09

I wouldn’t do a whole pack as a snack, but a couple of slices rolled up with coleslaw inside is an amazing snack!

DishRanAwayWithTheSpoon · 06/03/2020 20:13

Billie people are allowed to challenge your opinion. If you want others to move on why don't you?

To me your comment quite blatantly means calories. You don't need instant protein to run a spin class? You would want it after to build muscle sure.

If it was the fact it was processed why not say that in your first post? Because it was quite obviously about calories...

PolaDeVeboise · 06/03/2020 20:14

I always keep some 'scrappy' decent ham in the fridge for snacks. Even better with a dollop of Philly on it.

ShortAndSharp · 06/03/2020 20:15

Ham is 100% a snack. Hard boiled eggs are an equally good snack too (plenty of salad cream with both is best) pickled onions, cornichons or gherkins are also acceptable snacks, but only to me. DH and DC would boak if I tried to feed them these.

Everhopeful1 · 06/03/2020 20:16

I wrap mine round a bit of cheese & micro for 10/20 seconds, black pepper & eat!

NorthernChinchilla · 06/03/2020 20:16

Spread some Branston pickle in the middle.
Roll up like a cigar/fajita/joint (delete as appropriate Grin )
Scoff

sewinginscotland · 06/03/2020 20:19

I have definitely done this. However, a pack of ham that I usually buy contains 1.5g of salt, which is 1/4 of your daily allowance - so maybe not one to have all the time.

Halloweenbabyy · 06/03/2020 20:20

Ham wrapped up in cheese savourie😍

LuckyAmy1986 · 06/03/2020 20:20

I wouldn’t eat a whole pack either but then I don’t eat ham full stop. Surely that can’t be good fir you on a regular basis?

Mamato2gorgeousboys · 06/03/2020 20:21

It’s a great snack!

LuckyAmy1986 · 06/03/2020 20:21

Oh and I’m talking it being processed etc not calories

Racheyg · 06/03/2020 20:22

Omg I'm so hungry right now. Yes ham is a delish snack
