SIL and BIL are planning to visit end March when they have returned from a cruise around Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam. My OH is currently having chemo for cancer. I have asked them.to wait at least 14 days between returning to the UK from their cruise and coming to visit.

I’m not someone who is particularly worried about Coronavirus but I would definitely ask them to stay away for 2 weeks.

Chemo is a combination of a robust poison and a life saver. It is important to know the difference it makes to immunity.

I think that by the time of their return it would be worse rather than better and it’s not a panic mode it’s matter of statistics.
By the way I think it would sound better coming from your DH as it’s his sister.

Yanbu at all, think it's a bit selfish if they visit especially as your husband will be immune suppressed

ClientQueen · 01/03/2020 11:40

I would. Not having chemo but I am neutropenic and I would say 2-4 weeks

I would say that was pretty sensible even without Corona virus. Ships are a breeding ground for infections
