I wouldn't turn my nose up at them. I prefer them cooked in goose fat though.

They look ok and I'd definitely love some right now. Like PP I like em fluffy and crispy. I think I parboil for 7 mins and then tumble them around in a colander when draining them for the rough coating. I'll try cooling them down next time and see if it makes them extra crispy
