Exactly as the title says.
Came home from work/school run today for dd to find a small card from the RSPCA shoved in the side of the door. Not posted inside or anything.

Do you have any animals?

Why are you being so cagey after asking advice?

MmeAlice · 27/02/2020 20:18

it disappeared about the same time as the snake Grin

Goostacean · 27/02/2020 20:22

I had an RSPCA chugger here today. Absolute joker, some kind of nonsense about his girlfriend asking him to “make it quick so he’d do likewise now” and then had the cheek to tell me I needed a scarf because I was heading out with the baby. Baffling. Second time they’ve come by in the last 3ish months...

HollowTalk · 27/02/2020 20:22

I don't think she has any animals, @Jinora.

TheMemoryLingers · 27/02/2020 20:27

Was your snake microchipped?

Kirkman · 27/02/2020 20:29

Op does appear to have animals. 2 babys snakes a few weeks ago.

TheGreatWave · 27/02/2020 20:30

goos the chugger at my door asked if I cared about animals when I said that I didn't want to sign up as I gave elsewhere.

Fatasfooook · 27/02/2020 20:30

Your dog must bark all day while your out and drive your neighbours insane

AhoyMrBeaver · 27/02/2020 20:32

Ring the number on the card and ask them.

BentNeckLady · 27/02/2020 20:34

Your neighbours think you’re neglecting your pets I guess.

You’re in a better position to know than us internet randoms though.

Obviously ring the number on card

22Giraffes · 27/02/2020 20:38

My mum rang me earlier, anyone know what she wanted?

TheWordmeister · 27/02/2020 20:40

For Christ’s sake. Why be so vague?

Do you have pets? If so, are you looking after them?

If not, it’s clearly a mistake.

TheMemoryLingers · 27/02/2020 20:44

My mum rang me earlier, anyone know what she wanted?

She wanted your help with a random snake that had turned up in her kitchen.

Wellintentionedreader · 27/02/2020 20:47

22Giraffes
Grin

BentNeckLady · 27/02/2020 20:49

Naa i think your mum wants a whinge about her arsehole neighbour who’s dog barks all day

Goostacean · 27/02/2020 22:03

@TheGreatWave I suppose the only answer is yes, particularly cows as they are delicious! 😂 Cheeky sod.

MyNameHasBeenTaken · 27/02/2020 22:04

Sorry, was putting a child to bed!
Yes, I have 2 baby snakes. They don't bark.
The last time I had a dog was 1990 something when I lived with my parents.

Paddingtonthebear · 27/02/2020 22:13

Call them and say you don’t have any pets but you lost a snake or two snakes a while ago. Ask them if it’s about that. If it’s not about that then ask them why they left a card in your door. They should be able to explain why. In the meantime perhaps have a think about other animals in your street that may be noisy/neglected. They might be asking for witnesses.

MyNameHasBeenTaken · 27/02/2020 22:17

There is a very noisy cat around. Often in my garden. Could be that?
Would they really be concerned about a snake that escaped in august 2018?
Neighbours on the end of our terrace are constantly yelling at their dog. And kids.
Dont know of any other local animals!

MyNameHasBeenTaken · 27/02/2020 22:18

To all the people saying call them, I will try if I can find a number on the website I was given a link to earlier. My phone wont let me make a call that costs money.

Waspnest · 27/02/2020 22:23

Perhaps they found your snake?
