Is Naked Attraction suitable for kids?

My friend told me recently that she lets her 11 year old girl and 10 year old boy watch Naked Attraction with her and her partner. She said it was educational and that she didn't want them growing up being ashamed of their bodies. AIBU to be shocked by this or am I being a prude? I have children of a similar age and would never allow them to watch something so graphic.

I'm 39 and to be honest I don't even think it's suitable for me.

insomniasucks · 26/02/2020 14:16

I think she records it so they don't watch it the next day. I don't think I'll mention it again to her, but I'm still so shocked.

Not in the least bit suitable.

Some people seem to equate body confidence with being willing to get your kit off on TV, I think a lot of people who go on that show are going to regret it later on but it will be too late, anyone who wants to will be able to find their completely naked bodies on-line.

TheVanguardSix · 26/02/2020 14:17

It's not even suitable for me!
Why contribute further to the dumbing down of society?

fruitbrewhaha · 26/02/2020 14:17

The woke liberal bullshit is really bad for children. They should not be exposed to sex. Is she grooming them? What next. Hey sex is natural, let's go to a sex shop and help mummy pick a new vibrator. Lets chat about bondage?

She's a fucking idiot.

GinNotGym19 · 26/02/2020 14:18

Oh god I wouldn’t even watch this as an adult never mind showing it to a child!
Hopefully she thinks about it or ask other people’s opinion and stops!

@blueheaven97

🤣🤣🤣🤣

My firmed who is a Sex Education and Healthy Relationships advisor in Schools watches it with her son, I only watched about 10 minutes and founds it the oddest programme and very shallow to choose someone on the look of their body.

Haworthia · 26/02/2020 14:20

I saw a clip on Gogglebox and the men were asked to appraise a woman’s genitals.

“Oh yeah, great, nice and neat, tucked in...”

What a great message to send out.

@friend

MirandaGoshawk · 26/02/2020 14:25

No. It's an excuse to gawp at naked bodies but is embarrassing not for that, but that people are judged on their bits. Awful, cringy programme. There are much more positive ways to educate kids. But she records it? Bloody hell.

insomniasucks · 26/02/2020 14:26

I watched it once and forgot how graphic the conversation is on it. I remember feeling a bit Blush watching it with DP.

You have some weird friends.

Lynda07 · 26/02/2020 14:32

I've never even heard of it, never mind seen it! Having read all the posts I am not tempted. It isn't often you get a general consensus about a programme on MN and I bow to the opinion of the majority (unless I switch on TV and there it is, watching by accident :-).....).

Lweji · 26/02/2020 14:33

From the few bits I've watched it didn't seem sexual as such to me. There are genitals on display, for sure, and conversations about it, but I found it as exciting as a nudist beach. Not much.

I don't know why I would want to watch it with DS, though. Unless he wanted to watch it for some reason.

rattusrattus20 · 26/02/2020 14:33

as others have said, it should carry an age 30+ cert, for both sexes.

Clockonmantlepiece · 26/02/2020 14:33

No worse than love island

Ludways · 26/02/2020 14:36

I watched it once and they talked about s bangable pussy, no no no not suitable

AnneOfTeenFables · 26/02/2020 14:38

Like a PP, I've only seen it on Gogglebox. It's not appropriate for DCs. There are much better ways to teach them about bodies being different and about body positivity.

Mockersisrightasusual · 26/02/2020 14:40

Fine if you sit with them and explain, These are attention-seeking wierdos who've been paid to do this. Do not confuse this with real life.

TokyoSushi · 26/02/2020 14:41

I'm nearly 40 and I'm not sure that even I am old enough for it!

SauceForTheGander · 26/02/2020 14:46

The fact that she has to record it because it's on past their bedtime should give her massive pause for thought.

I've only seen it via gogglebox and thought it was absolutely rank. It's a total joke that it's all about body confidence and being free and open. You could say the same about bloody dogging.

SnoozyLou · 26/02/2020 14:47

No thank you.

I'm not sure it's suitable for adults either to be honest. Grim.

SnoozyLou · 26/02/2020 14:52

And sitting with my parents watching that would be my idea of hell. I used to be mortified when the Bodyform advert came on.

Sometimes it's better to just smile and nod though.
