What are you absolute requirements in a relationship ?
Mine are
Don't be stingy
Don't hem me in in
Don't irritate me

Everything else is a bonus

Mostly, don't be a dick. I have a low tolerance for dickheadishness.
Dickheadishness covers all negative behaviours.

1. Is a feminist.
2. Is very left wing.
3. Happy to live very rurally with a lot of animals.

Humour - that little twinkle in his eye, the times we end up crying with laughter over nothing very much
Respect - if you have this for each other, you can fix most things
Passion - not just sex, but for something, the planet, music - whatever energises even if you fight about it!

Feminist values ( non negotiable and usually easy to spot within a few meetings)

Humour ( dh's well timed ( yet always kind) quips and humour have helped me through a hell of a lot of dark times in our 20 years together)

Decisiveness

Is it a wish list or qualities which in their absence would be deal breakers. You can't really think of one without the other.
They would have to love me deeply.
Not be chipper and expect me to be 'in society', having people over for dinner and meeting up with strategically important wives. I can't stand business friendships where the wives make awkward conversation while the big men crunch the numbers and discuss the state of the nation.
Sensible with money and not snore.

1. I need to be able to trust him and vice versa otherwise it's too stressful.
