to think BBC Radio is something that we don't want to lose in this country

You don't need a TV license to listen to it.
It is a source of local news and chat - something that was really useful yesterday with the floods - I was listening to it as they were interviewing local MPs and environment people about the flood updates.
It's also good for discussions on local issues.

The national radios are institutions - Radio 4 covers a wide range of topics and genres. It's got a lot of great comedy on there - but also has science discussion, history, plays, documentaries as well as great news coverage.

The other stations are great for developing talent, bringing awareness of artists.

Maybe there are too many local stations. Maybe not.

But I do think it's under threat and selling of BBC Radio and its local stations would be a loss. It's something that I think is unique in the world (I could be wrong about that - maybe someone can tell me if other countries have something similar to it)

I do love R3, too, when Mary Ann is being a bit unpalatable.

I don't listen to the radio at all.

IDGAF to be honest. I never listen to BBC radio. Or watch BBC programmes.
