She didn’t write any of her books - they were ghost written. I don’t think she pretended otherwise. As for her riding in the Olympics, she was rich enough to buy EXTREMELY talented schoolmaster horses to compete on, who made her look like a skilled rider to the uninitiated but no way was she ever going to ride at the Olympics
I just want to clarify, although I’m quoting you, I’m not aiming this at you because I don’t know your opinions on this, so hear me out!
It seems to me that if a woman becomes a glamour model or something along those lines, people assume it’s all she is. For example, I was watching Hunted the other night, and they had a couple on there who looked pretty glamours. There was an image of them both together on a night out. The Hunters smirked at her and said how they doubt she’d enjoy camping etc. Now he was just as groomed in his own way, but she had a very revealing dress on, and she was judged on it. Why is that? Women aren’t one dimensional objects, we can be good and bad at many things.
As it turned out, she seemed to have far more sense than he did, for him it seemed to be all about his ego, and these are professionals, people who have been high up in their career and should know better, but still judged her from a photo or two.
Katie Price may have never been Olympics quality, but a huge number of horse riders that are in the olympics are wealthy, and have top bread horses, so I’m not sure why it’s fair to sneer at Katie when she’s done just the same as them?
I’m not a fan of her, I don’t like women encouraging objectification, but I’m not going to trash her for being human either.
