To think it’s weird to call your kid your valentine?

Getting DP a card in Clinton’s today & they had valentines cards ‘to daddy’... I'm sure there were mummy ones too I didn’t look.

Also seen friends on social media calling there kids their valentine.

I dunno, is it weird? Obviously I love my kids, more than anyone... but isn’t Valentine’s Day a romantic love thing? I don’t remember noticing this before!!

& yes people can do what they want, no I’m not effected by it. Yes I have bigger problems 😂

But as a general observation, AIBU?

My 6 yo made both me and her dad a card each. We got her a card and some chocolates. Taking every opportunity to share the love and have fun.

I wouldn't give my DS a card as I think it's a couples occasion but I did melt a bit when he came out of pre-school clutching a dodgy handmade valentines card for me and wished everyone he met a happy Valentine's Day

I also may have bought him a heart- shaped gingerbread biscuit, I'm ok if you think that's weird tbh.

We call it love day in our house. My DS is 5 and struggling with his confidence so I got him a little felt mouse holding a sign saying "you're awesome" to keep in his pocket at school, with a card telling him how proud I am of him. Honestly, he loved it and has been in the best mood this evening.

So for me, I love Valentine's Day this year

My girls got heart shaped eggs for breakfast this morning and little chocolate hearts in nets as a treat.
