cultkid · 24/01/2020 14:56

Can't find them
Don't want them from next with diggers on
Have exhausted H&M

My son is 3 but big and needs to wear age 4-5
I used to be able to get him lovely leggings but as hes gotten older I can't find them

Where do you get them?

He's 3 and needs them because when he wears stiff trousers he wets himself

I'm drained

Frugi? Or kite clothing is probably worth a try too. A bit expensive maybe but last & wash well and often sales.

dementedpixie · 24/01/2020 15:00

I suppose boys dont really wear leggings so that'll be why you cant find any specifically for them. Does he have the same issue with jogging trousers? You might have to look in the girl departments to find leggings in that size

Synecdoche · 24/01/2020 15:00

If you're on Instagram have a look at susiejverrill and her Childrenswear tab on stories. Lots of nice leggings with bright prints and patterns

tictac86 · 24/01/2020 15:02

Joules do some nice patterns and could get them from an outlet store if possible.

Just buy them from the girls section.

meorthem · 24/01/2020 15:05

Well just slim soft trousers I don't like the tracksuit bottoms so much
I've found some slouchy trousers on H&M
Thank you for the tips on susie I'll have a look now I used to follow her but then got a bit frustrated but they are the sort of thing I'm after
Love frugi good shout
Thank you
Keep any ideas coming
I don't want the plain leggings as such. Prints and animals. He's a kid after all and they are fun!

meorthem · 24/01/2020 15:06

@Snowbear20 what a brilliant list 🥰
Thank you for that

I don't want thin leggings I want soft trousers slim fitting not girls leggings because they aren't good coverage

Pyjamas

Welshponyslave · 24/01/2020 15:12

Zara used to do them, not sure if they still do. I used to get them for my sons and they were pretty long so they lasted ages. I am sure Asda have patterned joggers too, not quite the same but still soft (and cute).

Snowbear20 · 24/01/2020 15:13

Some of the shops i named predominantly do leggings but if you want a loser fit they will do whatever you ask as long as they can.

Handmade stuff also has a good resale value on facebook groups

Duckduckduck123 · 24/01/2020 15:13

Have a look at duns too

Bluewavescrashing · 24/01/2020 15:16

My DD liked blues and greys so when she outgrew her leggings I put DS4 in them for nursery. So practical and great for independent toileting. They were mainly H&M. Try ebay.

Livpool · 24/01/2020 15:29

Very do some slim fit joggers

Spaghettio · 24/01/2020 15:44

Fred and Noah do lovely ones

namechangenumber2 · 24/01/2020 15:56

Maybe try Etsy?

Little fox tots clothing is a local lady to me, she handmakes clothes. She has a Facebook page

amymel2016 · 24/01/2020 16:00

Zara usually has some nice ones and failing that I tend to buy my sons from the girls section. It annoys me so much that the only choice boys have are joggers (which make me think of prisoners) or jeans (can’t run around in them). Sainsbury’s have started to do more leggings for boys recently as well.

InkogKneeToe · 24/01/2020 16:05

Mine is younger (13m although in 18-24m clothes) but I lean towards leggings because they fit better - he's very tall and skinny at the moment. That said, I've got some nice dinosaur print slim fit joggers (and matching tops - both multipacks) from Sainsbury's recently. I also get a lot from Frugi. They aren't cheap but the sizes are generous and they wash and wear very well (plus there's a great Frugi Preloved Facebook group or eBay is a good shout - I get a lot second hand for nursery).

I also like some of the Duns of Sweden prints, particularly for the dungarees. Again, they're very generous size wise

kemosabeimalone · 24/01/2020 16:06

If your at all handy with a needle I’d make them - they would be a really simple 2 piece pattern or you could take measurements from an existing pair and then you could choose any stretch cotton jersey you like. You can also buy elastic for the waist and cuffing from Haberdasher’s if you want a cuffed leg. If you have a sewing machine you could knock out a pair of these in about an hour or less.

InkogKneeToe · 24/01/2020 16:07

Asda also do boys legging type trousers (essentially joggers without the pockets? Why does a toddler need pockets?!) but in less exciting colours. not sure what size they go up to though
