cultkid · 24/01/2020 14:56

Can't find them
Don't want them from next with diggers on
Have exhausted H&M

My son is 3 but big and needs to wear age 4-5
I used to be able to get him lovely leggings but as hes gotten older I can't find them

Where do you get them?

He's 3 and needs them because when he wears stiff trousers he wets himself

I'm drained

Another recommendation for Fred and Noah. They have just started a warmer leggings range too. But I also agree with a pp - just buy from the girls section, even primark do nice colourful leggings in the girls section that are suitable for unisex wear. Fred and Noah and the other companies mentioned leggings are lovely, but quite expensive so definitely check out the girls section in some of the chain clothe shops Smile

Just saw your name changed update - Gap girls leggings are generally more generously cut and thicker if that's what you are after.

TiggeryBear · 24/01/2020 16:15

Lucy Locket Loves does a Little Locket range. My 4yr old Nephew & my almost 4yr old DD wear them loads. They are so soft & very comfy.

PenguinsOnParade · 24/01/2020 16:16

Little Lockets at Lucy Locket Loves.

Loads of prints and plenty of boys wear them too (loads of pics in their FB group.)

I'm in love with these, but tbh looking at them for friend's baby (who was only born yesterday!) for when he's toddling. Prob way too young, as I can't remember that long ago (DA is 21!!).

Sorry ignore me! Just checked age - only up to 3-4.

BaucisPhilemon · 24/01/2020 16:20

Villervalla (Swedish label) do gorgeous ones:

Tobias and the Bear are lovely (although pricey!) and really last. My son has some that were passed on from a friend, and they are still going strong.

Frariedeamin · 24/01/2020 16:28

Buy a sewing machine and make your own! Leggings are really easy and there are so many great fabrics out there. At that age you will only need small amounts of fabric too.

Booboostwo · 24/01/2020 16:30

Leggins for 5yo girls have worse coverage than leggings for 5yo boys? In what way?

NearlyGranny · 24/01/2020 16:32

If you can see, you can knock out a air in about an hour. There are loads of gorgeous patterned jerseys out there! If you want thicker, go for sweatshirting.

Take a pear he's outgrown and cut them up for a pattern, adding length and fullness as required. You can buy ribbed cuffing by the 10cm for the ankles and just use wide elastic turned under or more cuffing at the waist. If you don't have an overlocker or access to one, use the stretch stitch on your sewing machine or even just a zig zag stitch if the machine is basic.

Do you have a sewing friend to advise?

OCDaisy · 24/01/2020 16:34

Next have a good range of boys leggings in at the moment

NoIDontWatchLoveIsland · 24/01/2020 17:07

It's just supply and demand OP.

The supermarkets etc don't sell many because the majority of people are fine with dressing boys & girls in joggers or soft elasticated waist cords.

I dont really care what my son looks like as long as it's clean, comfortable, practical and hard wearing. Joggers tend to be thicker than leggings & are otherwise fine.

I now sew for my grandson - to the list , I would add
Made By Jacks Mum - great , easy to follow and quick to make patterns , - loads of gorgeous material out there , but not cheap .
But I know DD has bought from Mimi Boden in the last couple of years too

Mini -

H&M joggers are mostly slim fit for boys. I get DS age 3.5 size 4-5 as he's tall and hates seams too. We have stars, dinosaur print, bears and foxes, plain brights like red or yellow from H&M ... nice and warm as I get the ones with the sweatshirt type lining but there are ones that are just light cotton.

Otherwise I'd go for Frugi Parsnip pants ( other brands do similar) either new and you can sell on or on eBay.

I buy the plain girls ones from Tesco in a size up. My DS is three in May and already in size 4-5 😭 he's so tall and broad, he's a tiny viking.

Poetryinaction · 24/01/2020 22:02

My son wears girls leggings. It never occurred to me to buy ones for boys.

BillyAndTheSillies · 24/01/2020 22:05

Sainsbury's had loads in today, even managed to pick up some leopard print ones

Second Instagram sellers.

Howdidido · 24/01/2020 22:55

Pop clothing have the coolest patterns

LucaFritz · 24/01/2020 23:01

What about buying the next snugfit pjs and using the bottoms as leggings ? They have some nice prints

schafernaker · 24/01/2020 23:12

In line with what others are saying about hand made

Bear and babe
Wear it baby
Little swallow shop
Tiny bubble store
Hainmade
Arabella and bear

All make lovely quality leggings and rompers. On a total aside we adore bear and babes hooded rompers 😍

Inliverpool1 · 24/01/2020 23:13

M&S had some blue ones with lightening flashes on ... 3 for 2
