Just that really. I'm now 15st and size 20, used to be 21 stone, need some new clothes and haven't bought clothes in a while. I used to buy clothes in ASDA as their sizes are more generous Blush

Size 16/18 here .Still rate M and S ,very comfortable and hard wearing .Also Joanna Hope (online shop) is very flattering .Mostly wear long line tunics or blouses, with those well known old friends "The Black Trousers!

You're on the cusp of normal high street sizing. I'm an 18 (was a 20) and I find choosing clothes with a stretch fabric or relaxed cut the best. I avoid pure cotton or linen because I need that movement.

My favourites for a curvy 18 are Sainsbury's, Roman, Phase Eight, white stuff, SeaSalt.

It all depends on the fabric, style and cut rather than the shop. I'd avoid the shops for larger ladies as you are the smallest size now. Shop smart, try lots on.

I wear mostly Seasalt and Gudrun Sjoden off eBay. Next's denim leggings are good.

Dresses for more special occasions (although they have everyday dresses too
Scarlett & Jo

Very true to size

Chickychickydodah · 19/01/2020 16:05

Asda , good prices and quality

PumpkinP · 19/01/2020 16:09

I’ve always struggled to find a size 18 and definitely a size 20 in primark Confused

LakieLady · 19/01/2020 16:21

Sea Salt, Boden, White Stuff, Crew Clothing, Hobbs, M&S.

I used to buy stuff in Monsoon but they closed my nearest branch and it's now Jigsaw. They only stock up to a 16.

I particularly like Hobbs for dresses. I'm top heavy, so dresses tend to be too big on the hips if they fit on the bust, this seems less of an issue with Hobbs dresses. And I'm a huge Sea Salt fan, their stuff is so well made. I've got tops that are 5-6 years old and they're still going strong.

Vv pricey but I'm currently into Seasalt Cornwall...I save up to buy ONE ITEM or wait for the sales! I have huge feet too, and buy my shoes at Skechers, or Simply be. My hats come from M&S and Uniqlo (big head too).

Very interested if people can suggest anyway for an good shop/website for a dresses for a family member wedding. Happy to pay a bit for it. Trying to avoid the usual debenhams/Monsoon. Last wedding I was at two other people had the same Monsoon as I.

I do tend to buy a lot of work wear from Dunnes Stores (Ireland but may deliver online). Have started buying lots from Warehouse over the last year or so. Tends to be my go to shop at the moment.

bridgetreilly · 19/01/2020 16:50

More than half my wardrobe is from Sainsburys and eBay.

Other items (and the eBay items originally) from Boden, Seasalt, Weird Fish, Next, Joules. At 18-20 you'll find most high street stores cater for you these days, so you can find your own style. If you've been used to only wearing the limited ranges available in larger sizes, I'd take some time and have some fun trying a whole lot of different things to see what you like now. Ebay is great for this - I generally don't buy anything for more than £10 and if I don't like it or it doesn't fit, I sell it on. It's a great way to see what brands and styles you like.

bridgetreilly · 19/01/2020 16:52

@purplecorkheart, you might try Navabi.

orangejuicer · 19/01/2020 17:53
