Just that really. I'm now 15st and size 20, used to be 21 stone, need some new clothes and haven't bought clothes in a while. I used to buy clothes in ASDA as their sizes are more generous Blush

Dorothy Perkins, Next,New Look, Sainsbury's.

LittleMustelid · 19/01/2020 06:49

Seasalt and the Mantaray range from Debenhams.

Oysterbabe · 19/01/2020 06:52

Are you planning on losing more? If so I'd just get some primark stuff to tide you over.

whatswithtodaytoday · 19/01/2020 06:55

Taking notes here, thank you for posting! I hadn't considered Boden, possibly because it's so expensive and I don't really feel like I deserve it. Also liking the look of Popsy dresses, very much my style.

I mainly buy clothes from Simply Be (I find they're usually not tent-like), Uniqlo, Next and ASOS.

Fairylea · 19/01/2020 07:10

H and M plus and Asos curve are very good and I think more fashionable than some of the more obvious plus size ranges. Next is good for good quality basic stuff.

HollyBollyBooBoo · 19/01/2020 07:18

If you're planning on losing more don't invest loads of money in this clothing size. You could get some bargains on eBay.

Look for Monsoon, Next, Boden.

24hourshomeedderandcarer · 19/01/2020 07:19

im bigger than that im a 22 bottom 24-26 top(J/K cup)im 16 and half stone

i prefer mens tops though as i find womens too short in the body even though they go up to a big size(34 i think SB are)

i have the trouble getting leg length as im a 35 as im 6ft
before used to have to put up with them being to small
as i get my bras from simply be i now get all my clothes from there

if your still losing though you dont want to kit your self out in expensive clothes

our poundland clothes range go up to a 22

Pop2017 · 19/01/2020 07:23

Mainly Sainsburys and Next but sometimes Dorothy Perkins. I always buy jeans from Asda they tend to fit me good.

hoxtonbabe · 19/01/2020 07:27

Forever 21 was fab for stylish plus size clothing but as they have all closed down in the uk, I’ve been heading more towards river island curve, boohoo, and George Asda.

Ohhh, I didn’t realise Boden went beyond size 16. I’m Going to look there now

Daddylonglegs1965 · 19/01/2020 07:30

I love Whitestuff clothing at the moment they go up to a size 22 but they used to stop
At an 18.

PumpkinP · 19/01/2020 14:01

Boohoo, I find there plus size clothes fashionable and cheap. I use to use Asda before I discovered them but found their clothes abit frumpy

FaithInfinity · 19/01/2020 14:07

whatswithtodaytoday I tend to get stuff in the Boden sale, I also got some Boden jeans from Brand Alley for half the price they are on the website (even with postage).

Freeshavocado · 19/01/2020 14:07

Asos, next, and Tesco generally.

Scarlettpixie · 19/01/2020 14:09

Weird Fish, Debenhams, Sainsburys, Tesco and Asda mostly. I have a lot of weird fish stuff!

orangejuicer · 19/01/2020 14:10

Yours for nice stuff. Bonmarche for practical stuff, but they're closing down now.

LongWalkShortPlank · 19/01/2020 14:11

I'm in the same situation as you, started at 26 stone and now 16 stone. I've been buying good things like Wallis, next, M&S, George etc in charity shops, hoodies and a few tops from primark. I can't bear to spend so much on clothes that won't fit for long!

ChickenNugget86 · 19/01/2020 14:13

Pep and Co - a few are in poundland shops, good budget store. I often get blouses, vest tops from there

New look curves range - often have to order online though as many of the stores don't stock it

Yours - have a good sale on at the moment, buy lots of t shirts and jumpers from here

Evans - I always get my jeans and work trousers from here as they fit me nicely. Cost more then other stores I find

Wanderingraspberry · 19/01/2020 14:52

Yumi Curve, larger sizes in Joe Brown from Simply Be, Dorothy Perkins and Fat Face. Tights from Snag. Leggins from Tu.

EnglishGirlApproximately · 19/01/2020 14:56

At 18/20 I find I can shop in midy places except those very obviously targeting a young market. For workwear I generally go to Next or Sainsbury's, otherwise Monsoon, Fat Face, Wallis, Dorothy Perkins and a bit of Primark. For evening wear Quiz Curve normally has something suitable.

Formermousemat · 19/01/2020 15:01

Sainsbury's for most of my clothes and then M&S for the odd thing like underwear and bras.

I do find with Sainsbury's that you have to go fairly regularly as the stock changes a lot. You can't count on it for buying something at the last minute, if you know what I mean.

I like it though because they do a lot of basic unfussy stuff. I like their leggings and casual wear. I also find that if you are willing to look through the sale rack you can pick up some nice things at really good prices.

user1471464702 · 19/01/2020 15:03

I cheated with my 5 stone loss with surgery sold my lovely clothes and bought new on eBay like next very dotty p Wallis and all saints as some stuff oversized monsoon good too and Hobbs well done u 👍

AudreyTautou · 19/01/2020 15:06

Oh my goodness! Well done on that weight loss.

I am a size 16/18 and I also find I can shop in most places.

I'm trying not to buy anything new at the moment, partly for environmental reasons and also because I love a bargain. So, I get a lot in charity shops and on eBay. Labels I go for are Run & Fly, Duns of Sweden, Lucy & Yak, Topshop, Next, M&S. My style is definitely casual. Workwear, I have precisely zero idea about as i haven't WOH in ages and when I did I wore a uniform!

Anywhere really, as long as the clothes are in good condition and don't look like tat. Another major upside I have found, to buying secondhand is that you can tell how things will wash etc, as they already have been washed! If they look like they're falling to bits, you obviously wouldn't buy them.

KatherineJaneway · 19/01/2020 15:14

JD Williams online is good.

fairislecable · 19/01/2020 15:15

Seasalt clothing is really good in the larger sizes as it is proportionally done, so not just the waist but the sleeves and length are also increased.

gavisconismyfriend · 19/01/2020 15:23

Another recommendation for Seasalt - love their clothes!
