Paying adult price for 2 year old

I am going on a big family holiday with around 15 people and staying in a large house. The person organising it (my mums partner’ has charge me, boyfriend and 2 year old daughter £200 each, and daughter will also have to sleep on a sofa bed! There is also a day trip paid for adult tickets are £26, under 4’s free and yet nothing has been taking off for that.
Is it really worth moany about? Money isn’t a massive issue but it’s the Principle that really annoyed me!

Should I bring it up? Or just leave it

as a family if we organise anything like this we exclude the children from the numbers and split it between the adults, it's usually our parents who end up paying a bit more as they don't have kids to pay for. In this instance i wouldn't send a message re the accommodation and just let it go as its a surprise for a parent.

In my family we only count adults and exclude any children. They’re portion of the cost just then gets split amongst all the adults

It would seem that you and the other sibling are paying for mum & step dad?

Why does he not send a break up of the costs of the entire trip? Be honest and upfront so everybody can see who is paying for what and where and for what the money is allocated 🤷🏻‍♀️

When we go away we split the cost of the cottage between the earning adults only. Only me with dc so I pay the majority of the food bill. Self catering.
Take turns to cook also.

Where are all these kids that don't eat any food? Whenever we have our nephews to stay our food bill easily doubles and the cupboards devoured! this is the 2-8 year old group age, not large bulking teenagers either.
ie:
Breakfast for me: piece toast, cup tea
Breakfast for 4 year old: toast, boiled egg, yogurt with fruit, glass Milk.etc etc

I think I'd suck up the accommodation and food cost as that seems fair really but I'd knock £26 off what I was paying for your DD and if asked why then say it's because she gets into the activity free

@dancingmonkey I hope you managed to resolve it, it's difficult with family as you don't want to cause ill feeling but you also can't sub everyone just to keep the peace because it eats away at you.
