Soo I’ve worked a full week and done the weeks food shop. Was looking forward to flopping with a glass of white only to find yet again it’s been hoiked out and shoved in a cupboard. I only drink on a Fri night and dh doesn’t drink white. Says he hates it cluttering up the fridge.Hmm We have two small frudges, yes they get rammed but frankly at 50 years of age I think I can keep a single bottle of wine in my own fridge.Angry

Hmmm, the thing about jokes is, they're - funny?

He definitely needs to work on his routine before he has 'em roilling in the aisles, doesn't he?

Beamur · 10/01/2020 21:17

YANBU
LTB
Put his red wine in the fridge and pick up a bottle for yourself ready chilled on your way home. Chiller sleeve in the freezer so you can have it at the right temperature.
This would really piss me off!

Boireannachlaidir · 10/01/2020 21:33

How horrible of him. The fact he keeps doing is proof that he doesn't care what you think.

I'd be fucking furious with him over this and would lose my shit!

Wherever his red wine usually is stored, move it. Just move it to anywhere that is really inconvenient for him. Do it every single time. See how he likes it. What an insufferable twat he is being. Don't show him this thread either.

comfysocks8516 · 10/01/2020 21:59

DIVORCE!!

Modestandatinybitsexy · 10/01/2020 22:22

Put all his red wine in the fridge!! No one likes cold red.

Rachelfromfriends1 · 10/01/2020 22:31

Wait so is his red wine in the fridge or kept in the cupboard?

Myyearmytime · 10/01/2020 22:39

Buy your own fridge

Iloveacurry · 10/01/2020 22:43

Stick his red wine outside in the cold.

Casmama · 10/01/2020 22:47

I think this is more than he doesn't care, it seems like he is actively doing it to piss you off or deprive you of pleasure which is a problem.
The fact that he pisses off out of the house when you complain is also problematic. Is he always a bit of a twat or does he have some issue around you drinking?

Winterwoollies · 10/01/2020 23:39

He’s a douche. Put his red wine IN the fridge to make a point.

Nat6999 · 10/01/2020 23:52

Have his & hers fridges, then you can put what you like in yours.

Shoxfordian · 11/01/2020 07:02

He's a knob
Is it an isolated incident or is he generally selfish?

Verily1 · 11/01/2020 07:17

Is he controlling in other ways?

This screams abuse to me

AlCalavicci · 11/01/2020 07:24

lostsoulsunited · 11/01/2020 07:26

If he drinks beer offer to get him one but microwave it for a minute or so first.

Equanimitas · 11/01/2020 07:36

Hide all the red wine.

CupoTeap · 11/01/2020 07:50

Put his red in the fridge

LeekMunchingSheepShagger · 11/01/2020 07:56

Yy put his red in the fridge. When he complains tell him you didn’t like it cluttering up wherever he’d left it.

Sparklybaublefest · 11/01/2020 08:01

I keep my alcohol in the garden over chirstmas period.

PrincessMaryaBolkonskaya · 11/01/2020 08:02
  • Hide all of his phone chargers.
  • Remove his house key from his bunch of keys when he’s due home first. Engineer him being home first if it doesn’t normally happen.
  • Set an alarm on his phone for 4am.
  • Red wine down the sink.
  • Take batteries out of the remotes.
  • Switch tv off at the wall.
  • Practice distracted hmmm must have been the cat/dog/DC/cleaner/your mum/his mum/divine intervention when these things get noticed.

Or you could just murder him. 97% of us would give you an alibi.

Catsandchardonnay · 11/01/2020 08:07

This isn’t really about wine is it? It’s about control. He thinks he’s the boss of you. He needs to be told that he’s not.

Sparklybaublefest · 11/01/2020 08:12

It is really unfair and inconsiderate of him op

TW2013 · 11/01/2020 08:14

Get yourself a mini wine cooler, cheaper than divorce. We put soft drinks in ours too.

TwilightPeace · 11/01/2020 08:18

Is he the Lord of the Fridge or something? So glad I’m single and don’t have to deal with petty, controlling crap like that.
