It's more than 15 years since the invasion and there are still US troops there. You can't claim to have won a war until you've also won the peace.

Probably not, but still a remote possibility, such as:

• Iraq tells US to get out.
• US says No.
• It all gets heated. Iran supports Iraqi Govt.
• US strikes Iran.
• Iran hits Israel in retaliation.
• Israel aims at Iran in Syria, kills some Russians.
• Russians threaten Israel. US threatens Russians. Someone lobs a missile at someone else. Etc.

But it probably won't happen, so don't worry.

How would "America Destroy Iran"?

The first use of nuclear weapons is a war crime. There would be a drift of the fallout that would poison the world. Remember those Cumbrian sheep after Chernobyl?

The Iranians endured over nine years of war against a US-backed Iraq in the 80s. They have the protected infrastructure as a legacy of that.
