Our family rules involve cutting side deals along with trading properties. My younger DD gets out the white board to keep track of everything as it gets super complicated.

I refuse to play anymore as the others are ruthless and I can't sacrifice that many hours of my life to it. The last time I played I declared that I was deceased and split my properties evenly between the children. DH was not best pleased🤣

Neaely ended in tears tonight - 2.5 hours later....

And I was begging for it to end.

We haven't played Monopoly since the Great Monopoly Disaster of 1994.

We played the Really Nasty Horseracing Game today for the first time, even DD13 and DS9 loved it. I won 22mil 😂

DH and I got banned from playing with my dad because we invoked uk tax laws to allow us to pass assets between a married couple with no tax consequences. Dad didn't like that!

I hate it!!! It's like an allergy. When I see people playing it I get twitchy.

Played it a couple of days ago and I won ! we abide to the rules and DH constantly checks them.

Monopoly is for wussies. Risk is the game if you want to go nc with relatives and friends.

Not the best board game out there but we don't argue over it ....

When I play with my son I can only imagine it’s what Mr Trump senior was like when playing with Donald. He is a lovely boy normally but monopoly turns him into the most ruthless, hard hearted, money and power hungry human. It’s absolutely brutal being bankrupted by him, he shows zero mercy and plays in the most aggressive way, leveraging himself to the max, buying everything he can. It works really well 70% of the time and the other 30 he ends up broke and alone as none of us show any mercy to him either
