I don’t do resolutions but I like to set goals, mine are to get strong and to live better, not just eating healthy but to not put up with crap from people too. What about you?

Love these, I forgot to add way less social media for me, feeling inspired by all of these I may need a much longer list.

To:
Declutter my life of excess possessions;
To become fitter and increase stamina;
To try and be positive when faced with challenging situations;
To always be early (or at least on time);
To always look for the good in others;
To be the best person I can be.

Sparrowlegs248 · 31/12/2019 21:58

Get divorced. Buy stbxh out if the house.
Celebrate!

Hefzi · 31/12/2019 22:03

To live in the moment more - I spend a lot of time wishing my life away, and next term/academic year is always going to be better. In 2020, better is going to happen today. Every day.

And I'm also going to try to cut down on procrastination Blush (see previous comment Grin)

ohprettybaby · 31/12/2019 22:06

@Inhismemory
I'm so sorry for your loss. It is terrible to lose a parent. Flowers

seven201 · 31/12/2019 22:06

I'm starting ivf in January so my hope is to have a baby or pregnant in 2020. And if that doesn't happen to be grateful for what I do have.

Get back on the not eating crap wagon. Damn you chocolate oranges and the people who gave me so many for xmas .

I'm going to read less scary books and watch less scary tv as I think it affects me, although I love it at the time.

FestiveBake · 31/12/2019 22:15

More:
Reading, exercise, veg, dates with DH and other friends instead of sitting on the sofa, new experiences, decluttering.

Less:
Frivolous spending, work, social media, being bothered about horrible people at work, tennis elbow/back pain, anxiety,

I really want to eat more plant based meals.
Possibly move house, hence decluttering.

It could be a good year for our family but in the anxiety sufferer’s way, I am looking forward to nothing so if things go well it’s a bonus and if they don’t, I’m not disappointed.

ChocolateCoins19 · 31/12/2019 22:18

To say NO more.. Sick of being a taxi service.. Last Yr I started with a few of them and not surprisingly I rarely hear from them people.. One friend would say can we pop to supermarket.. Then there say, I preferr xyz product from supermarket B.. Then it would be can we pop to home Bargains then homebase. Then range.. I used to nod and agree.. But meant my only. Free day to get what I needed done running round like a nob for everyone else.

This Yr is to add my mum to that list as she takes the piss.

Northernsoullover · 31/12/2019 22:23

To stop frittering money away. I've had a clear out today and the amount of exercise wear I put into the charity bag was unreal.
I have had a really tough decade with debt and now I have cleared it and actually have money I need to be better at not spending it on fripperies

sotiredofthisshit · 31/12/2019 22:29

To eat better
Do more exercise
Sort out my mental health

Scabetty · 31/12/2019 22:40

Eat healthier
Spend less
Save more
Attend yoga regularly
Complete training to be a counsellor
Be more chilled

neverornow · 31/12/2019 23:02

To be more positive
More quality time with DC's - no more tv
Spend more time outdoors
Be less wasteful
Quit online shopping

AHippoNamedBooBooButt · 31/12/2019 23:16

Buy less, make more and support small businesses as much as possible. Those are my resolutions for 2020

blueshoes · 31/12/2019 23:19

To support dd through her GCSEs.
To get settled in a new job.

ploughingthrough · 31/12/2019 23:27

My main goal is to try and live in the present and worry less about whatever is going to happen in 1/2/5/10 years. I have learnt from looking back on the last decade that it's difficult to predict the twists and turns a life will take so I'm going to concentrate on what's happening now.

Mookie81 · 01/01/2020 10:38

Lose 2 stone.
Do last round of IVF- if it works great, if not we can move on and be a family of 2.

Iheartdonuts · 01/01/2020 10:40

Lose weight, be more active, be happier, make friends, have more self belief.

BanginChoons · 01/01/2020 12:14

"I also want to find a solution to my 8 year olds horrendous behaviour around homework. It makes every evening a very long battle and Im sick of it."

Is opting out an option? I'm an advocate for work life balance for kids as well as adults. My 2 have definitely benefited from more down time and are still thriving academically.
