To think she could have bought more than one pear!

Just interested what other people think as clearly this isn't a huge issue!

We (DH and I) went to stay with my parents recently. We only manage to get everyone (siblings and parents) together once or twice a year so it was kind of a special occasion, everyone had taken leave, holiday atmosphere etc.

My parents went out to the local naice deli to get something for lunch and when they came back my mum was raving about how lovely the pears they had in looked/smelled and how much she really fancied a pear. Obviously after hearing this I really fancied a pear too! She then took out the shopping and proceeded to eat her pear with gusto telling us all how delicious it was. AIBU to think it's strange to only buy one lovely pear when you've got your whole family round?!

For context we'd not just rocked up expecting to be provided for - we went out to the shops when we arrived and bought nice things as well as essentials like milk for everyone to use/enjoy. We cooked dinner, treated everyone to a meal out etc.

I think it’s ok

My mil did this all the time. One time I went to her home to help redecorate and she made herself dinner and offered me nothing.

Holy guacamole! I hope she isn't like that about everything.
