To ask what does your DH/DP do for a living?

Was married to someone for 6 years who did fuck all in or out of the house. He's very workshy and his lack of ambition and laziness killed any love I had for him. I couldn't respect him. Funny enough I was made to feel a 'gold digger' Hmm Never again.

So I'm just curious, what does your DH do for a living?

LizzyDarcy1 · 26/12/2019 23:30

Why were you made to feel like a gold digger OP?

If he wasn't working, what gold was there to dig?? This makes no sense.

Tillygetsit · 26/12/2019 23:43

DH has various jobs since we've been together but he's now Assistant Manager at a coffee shop. He started as a general barista less than 2 years ago and worked his back side off to get to where he is now.

DP is an IT consultant, self employed. He seems to spend much of his time writing business cases at the moment though

ILikeyourHairyHands · 27/12/2019 06:56

My DH works for me, we have a Software house.

And whilst he's excellent at tech, he's utterly rubbish at business, spotting opportunities or running projects.

(I'm not bad at tech btw, but we play to our strengths).

Why not ask what the women on this site do? I don't imagine the blokes on Pistonheads or Reddit are gagging to know what people's wives are up to. Professionaly.

loveautum · 27/12/2019 06:58

Wow @CharlotteMD that's an incredible job (really is life and death)

Mummadeeze · 27/12/2019 07:03

Barman. Works a lot of late nights. Does zero to help around the house. Earns very little. It’s frustrating.

ILikeyourHairyHands · 27/12/2019 07:12

Eww Love I find the veneration of doctors a bit creepy, it's always male doctors that are venerated, and I think they encourage it. It's just engineering really, human plumbing.

It's a professional job not so different to the practitioner than many others.

Unless the practitioner is a dick. Who enjoys veneration.

Politics or medicine, that's where the messiah complexes end up.

Egghead68 · 27/12/2019 07:17

Obviously MI5 Kitty don't you care about national security?

It's fine for spy-wives to post as long as nothing is specified.

BerwickLad · 27/12/2019 07:26

Nah they're all cockapoo topiarists.

ILikeyourHairyHands · 27/12/2019 07:31

Berwick, that's an anagram of 'Patriotic Scoop Soak*.

Make what you will of that

BerwickLad · 27/12/2019 07:32

Well that's torn it.
