To feel my boss could have got me a Christmas gift?

Ok so I work for a large organisation as a PA, where the top bosses earn well in excess of £100K.
I bought my boss a lovely box of chocolates, and received from him......a card.
No present whatsoever.
I think this is jolly mean, they earn so much money and we do so much for them the least they could do is show their appreciation once a year no?

Yanbu op, I work in a Big 4 firm and it's kinda expected that the partners should get their PAs a gift. They do so much for them that it would feel a bit mean not to, even if just a small token

OP,
YANBU

Very poor of him.

YANBU - my boss is pretty good with presents.

It could be worse, my first boss (company owner) would receive gifts from clients addressed to the whole team or an individual staff member. He would take the whole lot home for himself. I used to open the post as I was the junior and he would check for gifts so I couldn't hand them out to who they were addressed to.
