Saw this doing the rounds on FB earlier in the week

To think Hermes are shit
Biancadelrioisback · 23/12/2019 18:39

They're a bunch of dirty, rotten liars.

Both the delivery driver where I work and the one where I live will fake a signature on signed for parcels and leave them by the door or pass them to a neighbour but not tell me.
I watched one sign for my v expensive parcel (I was on the loo so watched him on my Blink camera) and just put it down and walk away. I checked the signature and it was my name!

radioband · 23/12/2019 18:39

I ordered a xmas jumper Sunday before last on 24 hour delivery, I'm still waiting for it now 🤔

Pimmsypimms · 23/12/2019 18:41

I'm lucky as I have a fab Hermes delivery driver. Very friendly and leaves my parcel in the safe place when I'm not in.

Judashascomeintosomemoney · 23/12/2019 18:44

Hermes and DPD are the absolute best of the couriers here but I despair when I see something I’ve ordered is coming via DHL Sad.

PinkHairD0ntCare · 23/12/2019 18:50

I luffs my Mr Hermes

Petrichor11 · 23/12/2019 18:51

Awful! Last year I had a driver outright lie about attempting delivery (I was home with a clear view of the front door and he hadn’t even driven into the car park of the building). Their customer service is horrendous, they refused to help even though when he did eventually bother to do his job, they sent gps tracking proving it... so they would’ve clearly known he was lying about previous attempts, they just don’t give a flying fuck

I’ve started having any Hermes deliveries sent to a local shop (this is a service they offer, they’re a designated drop off/collection point, I’m not being a CF!) maybe because they know they can’t claim nobody was there, it’s been a lot more reliable than home deliveries and is also more convenient as I get them sent to a shop I pass on my way home from work, it’s even been quicker as well. So if you’re stuck with Hermes I definitely recommend using the local shop pick up option

fairydustandpixies · 23/12/2019 18:52

Mine is appalling. She never leaves a card if I'm not in. A friend sent me a gift last week that I wasn't expecting, they asked me if I'd got it as they'd had a delivery notification, I had no idea where it was left and had to knock on door after door until I found it. It was with someone who had just moved into the road a week ago.

After my birthday I had someone stop me as I came out of my house asking if I lived there, they'd apparently holding a parcel for me for over two weeks and why hadn't I collected it. Erm, because I had no idea to expect a parcel or that one had been delivered to a neighbour I'd never met (who lives 15 doors down!).

I refuse to order anything if Hermes are the courier.

AlunWynsKnee · 23/12/2019 18:54

According to Hermes I was out last night, not sat with the dc watching Paddington 8ft from the doorbell...

MarshaBradyo · 23/12/2019 18:59

Yanbu they are so unreliable rendering them pointless. They can’t deliver a Christmas present ordered two weeks ago. In their depot since. I won’t use a company that uses them again.

Indella · 23/12/2019 19:01

Yep awful!

I had a parcel go missing, delivered by Hermes, signed for by the courier and according to the tracking was “posted through letterbox”. Thankfully Clark’s agreed it was doubtful that they put a size 8 pair of shoes through my letterbox and replaced them.

LloydColeandtheCoconuts · 23/12/2019 19:10

Last Easter I had issues with a delivery and so did my partner on a separate delivery. I wasted hours emailing and trying to speak to someone in customer services. In the end I got a refund as they ballsed up the delivery and I couldn't get it resent. My DP got a little wafer treat from them as a sorry for his inconvenience - I think he sent one email! Xmas Hmm
DHL are also shit!

gothefcktosleep · 23/12/2019 19:17

Yeppppp.... had Hermes deliver to the wrong address, they knocked my door and told me they’d delivered it to a random house but weren’t sure which it was (his wife had done the delivery for him 🙄) all Christmas gifts highly resellable items like Adidas trainers etc! I phoned the supplier and said I’d not received my delivery - the woman there told me it looked like driver had run out of time and signed for it himself (huh?) and to expect delivery that day.

Half an hour later a knock at the door... it’s him with my parcels, all been ripped open by the people they delivered to...

Am grateful he managed to rectify the issue but maybe don’t let your wife do the deliveries for you and just drop them at an address she KNOWS is the wrong house!

Lunafortheloveogod · 23/12/2019 19:18

Our local guy is great.. know him by first name and if he sees you through the window he’ll wait for you to find keys/put baby down.

His Christmas temp is related to the flash.. today I was in the hall when he knocked and he was almost off before I turned the key.. hall isn’t grand by any means, he also can’t close any gate.. ironically won’t even pull the latched one to so it clicks itself so he must carefully leave it wide open or it’d swing closed. Same goes for finding the safe place, market as keter box at rear.. always In the nappy bin (which is an open bin sack of nappies inside a big black bin)

Grumpos · 23/12/2019 19:20

Absolutely awful
Dreadful
Terrible
When I see them pop up as the courier on an order a part of my soul dies
YANBU

Patsypie · 23/12/2019 19:27

I love my Hermes guy. DPD on the other hand....

Patsypie · 23/12/2019 19:27

Oh but Yodel are horrendous!

LaudableLaura · 23/12/2019 19:29

SO bad. When my DD was born a friend bought a present to be delivered straight to us by Hermes. Two weeks of prevaricating until they finally admitted they'd lost it. My poor friend was really embarrassed by the whole situation as she kept telling me to expect a delivery and was conscious that when looking after a newborn you want to make life as easy as possible! Every day they told her it would be delivered tomorrow.

Yodel are worse though. I ordered an anniversary gift for DH and because I'd left it a little late (yes, that was my fault) paid through the nose for next day delivery, as we were going on holiday the day after. The gift wasn't delivered the next day, and when we arrived back from holiday discovered it had been sitting on the front doorstep the whole time we'd been away, advertising our absence. There is one, low, unlocked gate to get to the back door which can't be seen from the street but they hadn't even bothered. I asked for a refund for the next day delivery from the company I'd ordered from and to be fair to them got a full refund, including the price of the gift too.

Khione · 23/12/2019 19:41

My driver is lovely - it's a shame it takes so long for the parcel to get to her - if it ever does

windycuntryside · 23/12/2019 19:43

all drivers are different, Yabu to stereotype.

PepePig · 23/12/2019 19:44

My one is good. Came back twice in one day when we were out the first time and missed the delivery. Can't complain 🤗

MarshaBradyo · 23/12/2019 19:47

I wish I could get a driver to turn up. Lost, stuck at depot, no idea when it’s arriving.

Thelnebriati · 23/12/2019 19:50

The last driver was sacked for stealing our stuff, the new one is great. But for some reason they now send all my stuff to another city then have to redeliver it.
So I think maybe the 'sacked' driver was just moved to their office.

Skidzer · 23/12/2019 19:52

I watched a Hermes driver drive by and checked to see status of parcel. It said failed attempt at delivery. The bastard never even rang the bell. I was here watching him. I guess he couldn't be arsed finding the flat.
Same shit with a parcel I sent to another country. Status said failed delivery, but no notice was left with recipient about a parcel. They are the worst shower whatsoever.

ToPlanZ · 23/12/2019 19:52

I assumed you meant the luxury goods company and thought, well I'm not really rich enough to know Blush
