I love Bailey in coffee as long as I don't have to drive.

Motoko · 23/12/2019 12:05

The "Christmas period" has already started for me, as DH is now off work for 2 weeks. We cracked open some of the snacks last night.

I've got a bottle of chocolate Bailey's that I'm thinking of opening later on. Normal Bailey's is great with coffee, so as long as OP's not going to be driving, I'd say do it!

I've also got a bottle of Aldi's GINgerbread cream I can't wait to try.

NameChangeNugget · 23/12/2019 12:08

Baileys is the reason for the season!

newbabyyy2019 · 23/12/2019 12:09

Guys you do know there is an actual Baileys latte..
has no alcohol in it so can drink it whenever! That's what I've been drinking Wink

As long as you're not driving or operating machinery then go for it! Yum :)

newbabyyy2019 · 23/12/2019 12:10

Buy mine from Morrison's incase anyone's wondering

Egghead68 · 23/12/2019 12:11

YABU - put it on your cereal instead. It's amazing!

JumpyLiz · 23/12/2019 12:13

Inspired by this thread I’m just having one now. On the proviso that when it’s done I get my arse in gear and actually DO some of the 101 jobs that need doing.

Cheers Brew

Fluffycloudland77 · 23/12/2019 12:25

Don’t mix it. Amateur.

Coffee, then baileys.

Armi · 23/12/2019 12:30

I love this. Usually if you admit to drinking half a glass of wine a week you get the full ‘You’re an ALCOHOLIC!’ treatment on here. The hystericallly anti-booze folk must all be out engaging in wholesome festive fun or chastising people in the wine aisle in Sainsbury’s.

Butterfly02 · 23/12/2019 12:38

Imo it ruins the baileys Grin

MitziK · 23/12/2019 12:42

I prefer caffeine bombs - strong black coffee with loads of sugar and a slug of whiskey. Or an iced Camp Coffee with Coole Swan.

TheDogsMother · 23/12/2019 12:45

I hit peak festive nausea yesterday. Two large Baileys and half a box of After Eights Envy

Justsocross · 23/12/2019 12:46

Haha I thought I might be the only person who did this !!! It’s lovely isn’t it ? Yadnbu

yorkshirecountrylass · 23/12/2019 12:52

OP it is Christmas. It is the season to eat (anything up to your own body weight is the calculation if you need it ;)! ). Drink - provided you have no medical reason not to. I say this as someone who gives my liver 11.5 months per year. 2 days for birthday and 12 days of Yule it can crack on. It is permissible to eat chocolate, crisps, cookies, cake for any (or every) meal. Changing out of PJs is optional except for Christmas Day. Enjoy, January will be here soon enough!

Sux2buthen · 23/12/2019 12:55

I've missed out on it due to pregnancies the last few years but this year will be enjoying my first drink in about five years while the kids dive into present demolishing. Bliss

stophuggingme · 23/12/2019 12:56

Orange truffle Baileys?????
What thing is this you speak of?

I need!

LatteLady · 23/12/2019 13:04

Yes, it should be going straight down the sink. Foul stuff. However a G&T at 11:00am is a good way to start the day

HelloGabriel · 23/12/2019 13:12

No Baileys here unfortunately but is coffee and amaretto a thing?

I like milk in my coffee - would it still work?

Honeybee85 · 23/12/2019 13:15

I don’t drink coffee but it sounds like an excellent idea!

Does anyone have a suggestion for any alcoholic drink that goes nicely with green tea and won’t leave me too intoxicated to take care of DS and hoover Grin?

Cheers!

BlaueLagune · 23/12/2019 14:06

My aunt used to do this all year round I think (she didn't drive).

I've been to a couple of B&Bs where they put whisky in the porridge. (both in England and in Scotland). But that's usually no good because you're going out afterwards in the car. OK for the non-drivers though!

Salted caramel Baileys Might have to go out and get a bottle of this!

BlaueLagune · 23/12/2019 14:06

And yes I think coffee and amaretto is definitely a thing!

PotholePalace · 23/12/2019 14:11

Best way to keep warm in the winter.

nevermorelenore · 23/12/2019 14:19

I can't because I might drop the baby while tipsy and also have to drive everywhere today. But I am jealous of those with coffee baileys. I love the combo of coffee and booze.

I did eat almost an entire chocolate orange this morning and feel thoroughly ashamed of myself.

DowntonCrabby · 23/12/2019 14:21

YABU to taint the baileys with the coffee Xmas GrinWine
