Ordered something the other day. Confirmation email states it will arrive by 24/12/19. Great. Check the tracking info, Yodel, they won’t be delivering until 27/12/19 eh?!?!
Contact Very who say ‘err sorry love. We never promised or owt!’ Hmm, me ‘well there’s nothing about an estimated delivery time and you clearly state in big sparkly letters that most small items, of which this is one, will be delivered in time for Christmas as long as orders are placed before 10pm on the 23/12/19’
Very ‘sorry again, but erm tough, we didn’t know Christmas might be busy and all. Taken us by surprise tbh. Does this Christmas thing happen every year then?!’
Ok so not exactly verbatim but you get the idea. Having since seen a stream of complaints about them I’ll be amazed if, one, it arrives at all and two, if it’s even the correct item! Have they always been this crap???!!!!

I’ve had a nightmare with them lately. Ordered 2 Nintendo switch games and 2 items for my daughters dolls. Received 1 Nintendo switch game, a pair of trousers and a pair of trainers 🙄
Had to send the wrong items back and re order the missing items.
Then had a nightmare as the pricing when I reordered with them over the phone was different to the pricing online.
Finally received items but the prices were incorrect, plus they hadn’t refunded me for 1 missing item.
Finally got them to correct the pricing and to refund the missing item.
Received a message the other day to say they’ve received the missing item back and have credited me. So now my account is £40 lower than what it should be. I really can’t be arsed to phone them again and correct it. So they can spot their own mistake and rectify it themselves!

Same here as Pumpkin. Get really good money off offers from them and just paid off my DD’s apple MacBook Air interest free that I got her last Christmas! with cashback. You get the cashback before you’ve even made a payment :)
Ordered a couple of times in past week click and collect, both arrived at local shop really quickly.

I had a nightmare with them a couple of years ago.
Ordered a Chromebook for Ds on November 1st. Said it would be delivered November 15th. It never arrived. They constantly changed the delivery date right up till Christmas despite me phoning and emailing constantly saying finally that it would arrive Christmas Eve.
It didn't.
They finally delivered it 4th January! I returned it and closed my account.

Awful company, let me order cot when I was 20 weeks pregnant with DD, due to be delivered 2 weeks later, they continually pushed back the the date until the finally said “it’s not in stock anymore” I was about 30 weeks preg at this point so I explained obviously I’d be needing a cot very soon so could they cancel my order and refund me? They said they couldn’t tell me when it would be back in stock but the order was too far in the process to cancel so basically I’d have to wait until it was delivered to me and turn it away, then I’d get a refund. Problem was it was “out of stock” now so there wasn’t even a delivery date at all in the near future! I was v hormonal so got OH to call them and eventually they refunded me (took them 2 weeks still!)
Awful company, I’d avoid totally

I bought a baby monitor off them a couple of years ago which developed a fault. They took ten days to send a courier to collect it and I had to wait until they had received and checked it before they sent me a replacement which then took three days to arrive. I didn't have a baby monitor for three weeks. Had I got it from Argos I could have taken it back and got a replacement the same day. They're customer service is very bad. Never ordered from them since.

I have found Very to be poor in many respects.
Parcels which are "on route" pending for three weeks then suddenly cancelled without warning?
A refund when I "apparently" returned an item that was never actually delivered to me?
Online customer service is appalling - I have struggled to make any sense of the garbled explanations that have been concocted.
Service veers from satisfactory to utterly abysmal.

The biggest problem with Very is Yodel. Lost parcels, pretending to have attempted to deliver parcels and items left (thrown) on the door step in plan sight. I’d be annoyed as I saw Very clearly advertising you could order up to the 23rd and have you’re parcel in time for Christmas.

Yes. I once ordered a small item and they delivered a massive sack full of every item due to be delivered from the same warehouse that day - instead of one set of pillow cases I had maybe 40 sets of bedding. They made life really really difficult for me to return the goods I didn't order - they were really rude when I was just trying to do the right thing. I would never shop with them again.
