Just wondering what you all are buying/have bought your adult children for Christmas. Looking for suggestions for 27, 24 & 18 year olds. Girls. Thanks in advance! Smile

Iggleonkupsy · 22/12/2019 09:08

It makes me feel happy that you're asking this with only a few days until Christmas as I still have presents to buy!!

Selfcareneeded · 22/12/2019 09:08

I'm 24 and my Mum has got me Amazon Vouchers so I can get books for my kindle, a new dressing gown and PJs, a gift voucher for my favourite restaurant, my favourite chocolates and a mini baileys set.

I guess it all depends what your girls are in to, what stage of life they're at and what their current circumstances are.

Brefugee · 22/12/2019 09:10

tickets to a rock festival (including the camping ticket)
They weren't supposed to be getting anything else but since I bought them months ago and I love buying presents got them a load of stuff like books, make up, clothes - the usual - too.

For DD26 I’ve bought a picture for her new flat, Chanel perfume, Chanel mirror, pjs, jumper, socks, snowman earrings, she’s going skiing so thought a few bits of clothes for that would be nice. DD19, Chloe perfume, Charlotte Tilbury make up, Kiehl’s stuff, cushion for her room, earrings, and some bits for her stocking. Also got DS23, AirPods, aftershave and some clothes.

CherryPavlova · 22/12/2019 09:18

1 Boots. Flight vouchers for when they move to Africa after their wedding. Pale sapphire, diamond and pearl earrings for the wedding.
A rucksack.

2 A tumble drier. Four dining chairs. A huge mirror and wall clock. New uniform bits from Coat.

3 Boots. A citybreak with boyfriend. Ski boots. Salopettes. A watch. Voucher to balance.

TrickyD · 22/12/2019 09:23

DS2 helpfully said he would like an electric blanket. So he is getting a dual control one which I hope his GF will appreciate. DS1 is abroad staying with his DP’s mum and he suggested vouchers for his family to visit a safari park in the spring. Sorted.

Probably not much use for your family, OP.

LittleCandle · 22/12/2019 09:27

Both DDs got a wooden box with sewing repair essentials in them, as neither of them can find their other sewing boxes after house moves. DD2 got a Michael Kors bag that we got at the outlets in Florida and in her stocking is a Disney necklace, as she is Disney mad. DD1 has some clothes. She is very hard to buy for and seldom grateful for what she gets, so I am reluctant to spend on her. DD2 is far easier to buy for!

FLOrenze · 22/12/2019 09:27

Floralnomad · 22/12/2019 09:36

Dd(20) ; concert tickets
Fleece bedding
A blanket
Dyson fan / heater thing

She’s also got a few other small bits . She told me that she didn’t want much this year and couldn’t think of anything so it’s all been picked by us . She has CFS and is very poorly at the moment so I’m hoping she perks up a bit by the 25th .

greenlavender · 22/12/2019 09:47

DS 23. Overnight bag, cricket trousers. Jumper, calendar, tennis balls, book, blu tack, socks, pants, car air freshener.

@Meandyouandyouandme I miss read that and thought you’d bought your daughter a new flat 😛

danmthatonestakentryanotheer · 22/12/2019 10:03

My DD is 27. I do her a "themed" hamper every year. last year's was a relaxation one (PJs. scented candles, sleep mask etc). This year she's asked for a skin care one so I've bought everyday use stuff plus a few high end creams and voucher for a facial.

Itsjustmee · 22/12/2019 10:05

My DS 24
Clothes from Calvin Klein
2 lots of aftershave
Wallet key fob scarf and hat from CK
Boxer shorts

I’m also taking him to New York next year for 10 nights that’s part of his Xmas /birthday present

CakeandCustard28 · 22/12/2019 10:08

I’m 28 and my mum got me a duvet cover. Hmm I honestly don’t think she had a clue what my likes and dislikes where. Just get something your kids like/could use.

InspirationUnavailable · 22/12/2019 10:10

a nice bottle of whisky, picturehouse vouchers, some money for a new winter coat, snuggly dressing gown (can you tell DC lives far north!). The other is getting some art supplies, a necklace and voucher for John Lewis to spend on homewear. Essentially just nicer versions of things that they need, with one or two nicer bits thrown in.

Troels · 22/12/2019 10:41

Ds 31 a karcher power washer
Ds 25 Backpack, money and a coat
Dd 14 lots of bits and some X-box games

Meandyouandyouandme · 22/12/2019 10:41

@Yetanotherwinter haha! We did give her some money for her deposit, and we are in the NW, so prices aren’t too crazy here, but still a whole flat would be quite the Christmas present!
