Just wondering what you all are buying/have bought your adult children for Christmas. Looking for suggestions for 27, 24 & 18 year olds. Girls. Thanks in advance! Smile

francienolan · 22/12/2019 12:18

#1 son, age 20; Galaxy Buds, Timberland boots, socks, underwear, pajamas.
#2 son, age 18; Galaxy Buds, Cards Against Humanity + expansion packs, an apron, underwear, pajamas.

They both also get stuff in their stockings, candy, gum, lip balm, etc.

YahBasic · 23/12/2019 04:08

I’m late twenties and have asked for a new coat from Zara, cheese knives and a cheese board, Kindle vouchers, Molton Brown bath oil, a new Fitbit, Clarins face oil, Birkenstocks and a rucksack for work.

From a few different people, including myself Wink

YahBasic · 23/12/2019 04:08

I’d also really appreciate some wireless earbuds, but that might be a treat to myself at some point.

HoppingPavlova · 23/12/2019 04:09

A new mobile phone, clothes I know they will like (kept receipts though just in case), new make up bag, gift cards, DH will use some online account of his to gift computer game/s he knows one wants (no idea how it works, he has that in hand), jewellery. All still living at home so in some ways makes it easier, in some harder.

HoppingPavlova · 23/12/2019 04:12

Oh, yes PP reminded me, DH got wireless earbuds for one. Plus a new computer monitor, although their current one looks like it works (on it often enoughAngry) so no idea why he got that, some reason I would not understand no doubt.

pollyglot · 23/12/2019 04:32

Nothing

steff13 · 23/12/2019 04:37

I’d also really appreciate some wireless earbuds, but that might be a treat to myself at some point.

I got myself some a couple weeks ago, and they've both tried to steal them. That's why I got them their own. Hopefully they'll keep their sticky fingers off mine.

Geog1985 · 23/12/2019 05:20

I’m this age....

Lush spa voucher? If you’re stuck for a big gift. I’d love this.
Always need socks
Charlotte Tilbury make up
Books - fashion type - Dior in photographs etc
Foreign currency if they are going away?

Trumpton · 23/12/2019 05:31

DS had money in summer for festival but have got him some bits , Le creuset dish , mug, chocolate, and a spoon bangle made from the cutlery my dad bought in Egypt in the 70s .
DD1 a silver necklace made by a local silversmith, and a cheapie watch for work .
DD2 earrings from Daisy of London chosen by her and a Lancôme matte lipstick I know she will love and was difficult to track down .
Both girls get a shoebox with silly essentials in like a Christmas stocking . They both get exactly the same and have to open them together and exclaim loudly about each find ! And show us ( as if we didn’t know ! And DH very often doesn’t !
I think it’s one of my favourite times of the day as they are so childlike about it and are 34 and 38 !
DS wouldn’t want a box and comes up later in the day .

Mine get jewellery I know they will love but can't justify buying for themselves, things for their hobbies (fabric for the dressmaker, gym gear for the athlete) or just a nice wodge of cash into their accounts.

3dogs2cats · 23/12/2019 05:52

Very very nice pjs.

eenymeenymineymo · 23/12/2019 07:19

We have 3 DS all with birthdays within cooee of Christmas, so their gifts this year are not so flash.
Theyve each got (variants on) motorbike oil & cleaner bits, then each getting a $$ fuel card & chocolates.
One is getting a silly mug with a rude cartoon on, teatowel for another (this is relevant as its a sarcastic dig at recent comments) & a work diary for the last one. Probably boring, but it is what it is this year.
Some good comments up above though to note for future gifts, cheers

Disfordarkchocolate · 23/12/2019 07:27

This year mostly money and stocking fillers, normally they get a main present but for lots of reasons all needed money this year.

Stocking fillers have included - aftershave, socks, chocolates, jumper, make up brushes, earrings, books, tote bag, quiz books, car stuff, slippers. A bit dull this year but adults can be hard sometimes and then other year's you see something perfect.
