Of all the things to remake who decided to make this!
It was creepy the first time as a child (many many years of nightmares)
Why would anyone want to watch a sinister scarecrow with multiple personality disorder, hardly festive.
What next? Freddy Krueger and Mr Tumble do Lapland?

YABU = Worzel is lovely and Aunt Sally a feminist icon.
YANBU = it was terrifying then and we should never EVER revisit it.

I'm with you op. Creepy as fuck and percy. The whole head swapping thing was as bad as the witch in wizard of OZ 2.

Fraggle Rock was a masterpiece of modern puppetry and a beautiful depiction of a capitalist economy leeching the life blood of the Doozers.
It also has an epic theme song available on Alexa Grin

Rentaghost was bonkers but never scary.

I think there's a strong environmental message in the new one which kind-of makes sense. As long as there's plenty of cup o' tea and slice o' cake!

I loved Worzel Gummidge. I loved the idea that he has different heads.

Coincidentally, way back in the 80's our local Harvesters had an Aunt Sally in the entrance hall. My friends and I all "had our drinking heads on" and tried to take her on a pub crawl.

Nice try Davros but I'm not having it. The Wombles could smash extinction rebellion into a cocked hat wrt the environment, that's a remake I'd love.

And Worzel always seemed to have his crotch wriggling and trousers undone.

I loved it wasn't scared great story... However the new one looks like Freddie Kruger what the hell were they thinking! Remake by all means but get a scarecrow that looks a bit kind and cheery not with a weirdo potato beard!

Mackenzie Crook is all wrong for it, he'd make a better Catweezle. Looks like some weird sea creature, not feeling it, I'll remember it as it was in the 1980s thanks.

I am genuinely horrified. I was fucking terrified of him when I was a kid. The whole concept was bonkers as a kids programme but I was also terrified of grotbag the witch and that cartoon called trapdoor and the talking tv witch in willow the wisp so I am no judge of anything really

I was also freaked out by that horrible, heading changing monster! Rentaghost on the other hand was amazing.
