Mamacita, donde esta Santa Claus?
Donde esta Santa Claus?
And the toys that he will leave.
Mamacita, oh, where is Santa Claus?
I look for him because it's a Christmas Eve.
I know that I should be sleeping,
But maybe he's not far away,
Out of the window I'm peeping,
Hoping to see him in his sleigh.
I hope he won't forget to clack his castinet,
And to his reindeer, say,
Oh! Pancho, Oh! Vixen, Oh! Pedro, Oh! Blitzen,
Ole! Ole! Ole! Cha cha cha.
Mamacita, donde esta Santa Claus?
Oh! Where is Santa Claus?
It's Christmas Eve.
Mamacita, donde esta Santa Claus?
I look for him because it's Christmas Eve.
I know that I should be sleeping,
But maybe he's not far away,
Out of the window I'm peeping,
Hoping to see him in sleigh.
I hope he won't forget to crack his castinet,
And to his reindeer, say,
Oh! Pancho, Oh! Vixen, Oh! Pedro, Oh! Blitzen,
Ole! Ole! Ole! Cha cha cha.
Mamacita, donde esta Santa Claus?
Oh! Where is Santa Claus?
It's Christmas Eve.
It's Christmas Eve...

'A Christmas dual' by the Hives and Cyndi Lauper. Not one to be played for the kids bit quite catchy in a very bitter way.

GrandmaSharksDentures · 17/12/2019 21:08

Christmas Wrapping by the Waitresses

River by Joni Mitchell. Heard it for the first time this year and love it, Ellie Goulding has also done a cover this year so perhaps that why I'm hearing it on the radio more.

DareDevil223 · 17/12/2019 21:12

Steeleye Span's version of Gaudete. Incredibly beautiful and it was a hit when I was a little girl.

queenofelves · 17/12/2019 21:13

The seasons upon us by the Dropkick Murphys

I want a hippopotamus for Christmas

RunningNinja79 · 17/12/2019 21:17

I love alternative Christmas songs. Get so bored listening to the same songs for weeks on end during December.

A few have been mentioned, but loads I dont know. Will have to go through the thread properly and listen to a few.

My nomination is The Season's upon us by The Dropkick Murphys

Ive also discovered Idina Menzel has a new Christmas album and there's a few on there I like (I dont think they're cover versions, but they could be). Only heard them on my spotify, but as its Idina Im not sure how obsure they are. Anyway they are these:

Caroling, Caroling,
We wish you the merriest
A hand for Mrs Claus
We need a Little Christmas

Mammylamb · 17/12/2019 21:18

Dulci Jubilo by Mike Oldfield
I was born on Christmas Day by St Etienne
Don’t let the bells end by the darkness
Don’t shoot me Santa Claus by the Killers

FatLassNumber1 · 17/12/2019 21:26

Zat you Santa Claus? by Buster Poindecker

SyntheticPumpkin · 17/12/2019 21:34

For people who like a bit of gore with their Christmas music (not family friendly!)
