Some lovely stuff mentioned.
Fleet Foxes WWH I love all year round, beautiful and sad song.
Feliz Navidad is my favourite Christmas song, and this year is the big fave of my 6yo 😂
Winters Tale also love it. Used hear it at midnight Mass and reminds me of being so excited to be home at Christmas.

River by Joni Mitchell, I've had it in my head all day...

TheNoodlesIncident · 17/12/2019 14:08

Queen's Thank God It's

Not as obscure as some of these but still doesn't get the same airtime as Wizzard and Wham!

There's never a bad time to hear some Freddie Mercury.

hazeyjane · 17/12/2019 14:09

Low - just like christmas
Eels - everything's going to be cool this christmas.......
"Baby Jesus...Born to ROCK"

CoffeeRunner · 17/12/2019 14:13

I was also going to say December Song by George Michael. Beautiful song.

dorisdoughnut · 17/12/2019 14:17

Proper Crimbo by Bo’selecta.

Emptybox · 17/12/2019 14:27

Christmas Ghost by Manic Street Preachers. It was only released as a download on their site, but you can find it on YouTube. It’s a parody of 70’s Slade- type songs, but the lyrics ring true for those of us of a certain age.

Merrily Up On High by Tom Robinson

I believe in Father Christmas by Greg Lake. For some reason, it always makes me want to cry.

ThebishopofBanterbury · 17/12/2019 14:34

Mike Oldfield-In Dulci Jubilo. Love it!!! So folksy and jolly

50shadesofmiddleage · 17/12/2019 14:39

O Holy Night- Jon Anderson...lovely!

PrivateSpidey · 17/12/2019 14:42

Is it wrong to admit I like The Frog Chorus?! It's not really a Christmas song but it was released at Christmas.

I also like Jim Reeves "The Christmas Polka".

And the Charlie Brown Christmas album.

FuzzyPigeon · 17/12/2019 14:46

I believe in Christmas by the tweenies

CruCru · 17/12/2019 14:50

Drink till we go home by Lucy Spraggan.

Welshwabbit · 17/12/2019 14:51

I also love In Dulci Jubilo by Mike Oldfield although I'm not sure that's obscure enough. Used to dance around the living room to it with my Grandad.

Also another vote for Just Like Christmas by Low.

NameChangeNugget · 17/12/2019 14:53

Never Do A Tango With An Eskimo - Alma Cogan
