CantstandmLMs · 12/12/2019 18:31

At work until 7 so will walk fo polling station when I'm home and vote around 7.45pm

Graphista · 12/12/2019 18:34

Managed to get a call through to main office and I am awaiting a call from volunteers who will be coming to collect my vote, lady I spoke to wasn't sure this could be done then she checked with someone and it can. I'm so relieved.

Hating my health making things like this so difficult for me.

AllergicToAMop · 12/12/2019 18:36

@Graphista kudos to you for dealing with it! Honestly!Wine

LaurieFairyCake · 12/12/2019 18:37

Still working

Will go at 9.45 when I finish

U2HasTheEdge · 12/12/2019 18:38

No cause just got home from work. I am eating tea with a glass of wine first.

honeylulu · 12/12/2019 18:39

Left house for work at 6.15 am. Still not home as a fatality on the paddington line!

ForalltheSaints · 12/12/2019 18:39

Yes voted this morning on my way to work. When canvassed at the local rail station took great delight to say I have voted (missed out the bit 'not for your party'!).

easyandy101 · 12/12/2019 18:43

I don't tend to complain about the state of services, i get what i don't vote for.

I complain about the system as a whole and I'm permitted to not endorse anyone. If i had to physically cast a vote then i would spoil a ballot.

I have voted before and wouldn't rule out doing it again at some point

AlexaShutUp · 12/12/2019 18:44

Yes, I have voted. I might not have liked the choices but hell would freeze over before I fail to cast my ballot.

Sadly, I don't think it will be enough to make a difference even in my marginal constituency, but you never know.

7salmonswimming · 12/12/2019 18:46

No. Live overseas and my postal vote form still hasn’t arrived. Not the first time. And not an accident either, I’m coming to think.

metellaestinatrio · 12/12/2019 18:52

For the first time, no. Jeremy Corbyn is my MP and I don’t support him. His majority is enormous and there is no point if you’re not voting for him.

SuitablyDull · 12/12/2019 18:56

I voted. I have never missed a vote but this time I genuinely struggled to know who to vote for. None of the main parties were appealing. We live in a safe Tory seat but hell will freeze over before I vote for the dickhead we have as an MP here.

Meh despite believing in the importance of voting and democracy and that this was an important vote...I was thoroughly turned off by all parties bulls hit this time. I went with local independent

isseywith4vampirecats · 12/12/2019 18:59

yes and found it quite hard this time, don't like either of the main two, green party candidate dosent live within 30 miles of the town I live in, Brexit party and lib dems as bad as main two, so I voted but not saying who I actually voted for but didn't spoil my vote

amy85 · 12/12/2019 19:00

I begrudgingly voted... didn't want to not vote...but I hate that due to voting area boundaries my vote doesn't go towards the area I live...I find that frustrating so often don't vote

carrie74 · 12/12/2019 19:03

Postal vote last week. I would always vote if physically able. I don't expect to agree with every policy the party I vote for has, nor do I expect to disagree with every policy of the opposing parties, so I always vote for the party I'm most closely aligned to, even if that's only 50% alignment. In this particular election I also want our current MP out.

Fuzzyspringroll · 12/12/2019 19:05

Nope. Not allowed to vote. We're also currently abroad and DH's postal vote hasn't arrived, so he's not voting, either.
I voted in our current country when elections were on.

Sn0tnose · 12/12/2019 19:12

For the first time in my life, I have not voted. My Constituency had Tories, Labour, Lib Dem, Greens and Independent.

I am working class. I grew up in poverty. Also, I quite like having an NHS. I do not believe that the Conservatives have any interest in working to eradicate poverty or maintaining the NHS.

I felt unable to vote for Labour, Lib Dems or Greens because I had this at the forefront of my mind; “No self respecting woman should wish or work for the success of a party that ignores her sex”.

I did not want to vote Independent because their policies on immigration are, quite frankly, totally unworkable and would be laughable if it wasn’t so blatantly obvious that they have no idea how immigration works.

In the past, I’ve voted for the best of a bad bunch with gritted teeth. This time, they were all equally bloody awful. I know women died for me to be able to vote and I’m angry that the people who are supposed to represent us have put so many people in the position where they cannot, in good conscience, exercise their right to do so.

MrOnionsBumperRoller · 12/12/2019 19:15

For the sake of my mental health. Having been put through the wringer by this Government via ESA and PIP (consecutive) assessments then subsequent appeal etc, having experienced shite NHS care (waiting times mostly),despite agreeing with some of their policies, i despise them and their attitude. I also despise Corbyn's bum licking of IRA scum and his anti semitic views, which, although my local Labour MP is active in our community and i support and like her, she refuses to state her own views on anti semitism. Our local tory candidate is a stone cold arse hole, but i can't stand momentum and their sock puppet Corbyn and some of his nonsense (women can have penises, unlimited freedom of movement), yet am all for a reversal of Universal Credit, not discarding the disabled as worthless trash and so on and am aware that there is no way to fund Corbyn's re-nationalisation horse shit.
I have previously voted every single opportunity i got since i was eligable and I'm no spring chicken, but this time just no. Is that acceptable to you and your high horse OP?

WeshMaGueule · 12/12/2019 19:15

No because I live abroad and so I'm disenfranchised. If your postal vote didn't arrive in time, drop an email to the electoral commission. They didn't get many complaints after the referendum though shedloads of overseas voters were denied their say.

Ithinkwerealonenowtiffany · 12/12/2019 19:19

Boris is a cunt
Corbyn is another cunt
Never voted for PC and wont,
Other option is Brexit party.

So no brainier really . Im busy.

SilverySurfer · 12/12/2019 19:25

How is this any business of yours? MYOB

Medievalist · 12/12/2019 19:28

No. Because I'm unexpectedly away from home.

7salmonswimming · 12/12/2019 19:28

@Silverysurfer

That’s literally all of MN Hmm

If you don’t have anything nice to say (and you generally don’t, going by your Brexit opinions), don’t say anything at all.

Skyejuly · 12/12/2019 19:30

Yes.

BuildBuildings · 12/12/2019 19:33

My partner has unexpectedly had to go away for work with not enough time to organise a postal or proxy vote. So can't vote, I've voted. Noticed the food bank box in the church hall. Just saying
