to use lodgers bathroom

We have a lodger who has their own bedroom and bathroom. He is away for Christmas and DH intends to use the lodgers bathroom as we have family staying with us over Christmas.
I'm not too happy with this as the lodger pays for sole use of the bathroom.

Would you use the bathroom over Christmas or not?

Is he already away?

Ask, it's rude not to!

I'd want the chance to leave it presentable and tidy away my things first.
