To remind you that a Tory majority could mean a No Deal brexit in 2020 and no one could stop it

Just that.
The threat of no deal isn't dead.
For those who name it 'WTO terms' brexit: that particular organisation is under threat so not much hope there:

I don't give a shit anymore; I'm just sick of hearing about it all.

They all lie, and you can't trust anything they say, so in the end it makes no difference really.

Can't stand momentum though, I think they've got too much power, and I'm opposed to JC, mainly due to the fact he doesn't seem to know what a woman is, and he hasn't dealt with the antisemitism within his party.

SarahH12 · 11/12/2019 15:09

People who earn enough should pay more to assist our creaking public services.

But they already do pay more. For simplicity sake, say we all pay 20% tax on everything we earn, a person earning 10 k would pay 2 k tax and a person earning 100 k would pay 20 k tax. Therefore, already massively paying more. Yes I know I've simplified that a lot but the point is high earners already pay substantially more under the current system.

Knowhowufeel · 11/12/2019 15:09

PBo83 talks a lot of sense though.

JacquesHammer · 11/12/2019 15:10

We already have a tiered income tax system that means that people earning more do pay proportionally more towards public services

Yup. And I have no issue with Labour’s policies taxing those earners at a higher level.

JacquesHammer · 11/12/2019 15:11

But then out racist, sexist, homophobic MP has a choke hold on the constituency.

So good old Tory values I guess!

SarahH12 · 11/12/2019 15:12

@Knowhowufeel I agree with you. Feel free not to answer but who are you planning on voting for?

PBo83 · 11/12/2019 15:13

Yup. And I have no issue with Labour’s policies taxing those earners at a higher level.

Fair enough, I do so we obviously disagree (which is cool).

Personally, it's not so much the proposed additional taxes that I object to, it's how they will be spent. There is already enough money to deal with genuine poverty and support genuinely vulnerable people. It isn't redistribution of wealth I object to, it's how it is being redistributed (or, more precisely, how Labour plan to redistribute it).

PBo83 · 11/12/2019 15:14

@Knowhowufeel

Thanks :)

Tory, if I can be bothered to vote at all.

I've voted for all 3 main parties in the past, but cannot vote labour with JC and momentum at the helm.

The only way to stop that in my area is to vote for their biggest rival, who is conservative.

I would rather no one voted for any of them, just so they maybe realise how disillusioned most people are with politics.

I know that would never happen though.

www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.theweek.co.uk/93785/how-much-money-has-brexit-cost-the-uk%3famp

UK debt could soar to a 50-year high if Britain crashes out of the EU without a withdrawal agreement, the Institute for Fiscal Studies (IFS) has warned.

Completely irresponsible to vote for the Conservative and Unionist party.

Vote Labour🌹

Mollychristmas · 11/12/2019 15:20

those who vote labour dont give a shiny shit how the Jewish community are affected by JC.....

🙄🙄🙄
It’s amazing how someone clearly educated enough to post on a forum is gullible and stupid enough to swallow Tory propaganda.
Why not question the sources more and ask yourself if you’re being fed a load of bollocks? Perhaps you could also ask the Jewish people on the street how they feel not just Jewish people that follow the Conservatives (or are just make believe to begin with)

Knowhowufeel · 11/12/2019 15:21

I do believe higher earners should pay more tax, which they already do, but think labour's ideas are 'pie in the sky', and not practical, and there does need to be a limit to it.

I think there's probably enough money already in the system, but it's so badly managed, that throwing mow at or won't actually help to solve the issues.

What we need is complete restructuring, and I can't see that ever happening.

Knowhowufeel · 11/12/2019 15:23

*more at it won't...

PBo83 articulates what I'm trying to say far better than me.

thehorseandhisboy · 11/12/2019 15:25

People do know that lower income groups pay a much higher % of their income in tax, direct and indirect, than higher incomes group, I assume?

So unless there are higher tax rates for people with higher incomes (who all depend on the labour of people with lower incomes) how can public funds be generated?

Genuine question, albeit based on an assumption that people think that public funds to finance schools, healthcare, street cleaning etc etc are necessary in the UK.

MaMaMaMySharona · 11/12/2019 15:31

It's actually embarrassing how many people have fallen for the 'get Brexit done' slogan.

If you think you'll vote the Tories in and they'll get you out of the EU at the end of Jan, or even the end of this year, you are a fool.

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 11/12/2019 15:33

Perhaps you could also ask the Jewish people on the street how they feel not just Jewish people that follow the Conservatives (or are just make believe to begin with) Im jewish and there is enough evidence of the issues, however I sense you have drunk the JC Kool-ade

MyNameIsMrsGrumpy · 11/12/2019 15:34

I can’t vote Tory...just goes against everything I believe in. I’ve yet to see how they have produced the 5000 extra gp’s (Not entirely sure it was 5000) and to be fair have done nothing but slowly bleed this country to death.

I can’t vote Labour either...their policy’s make no sense! And I have no idea where all this money will come from!

I’m actually debating on not voting at all as either way this country is fucked

thehorseandhisboy · 11/12/2019 15:36

But 'Jewish people' aren't an homogenous group.

Many Jewish people support Labour and/or JC

Mistlewoeandwhine · 11/12/2019 15:36

The Labour manifesto makes economic sense. Their money will come from taxation of big companies and the very well off. We will all benefit.

Lockshunkugel · 11/12/2019 15:40

Corbyn has refused to say whether he will campaign for his new deal or not (because he knows that if he admits that he actually supports leaving the EU, it will alienate most of his MPs)

Labour promised to honour the result of the Brexit referendum. They deserve to lose this election for breaking that promise.

safariboot · 11/12/2019 16:02

YABU to think anyone planning on voting Conservative doesn't already know this.

Songsofexperience · 11/12/2019 17:00

Assumptions don't work. People may or may not realise this. I appreciate many do, but I don't believe all Tory voters actually WANT to risk a no deal. So it's worth pointing out.
