Plus any of a huge number of games you can play with a pack (or two) of standard playing cards, and/or a set of dice; and they'll be at least one jigsaw on the go somewhere.

The whole family from great great grandparents down have been 'gamers' of a sort, these days computer games (mobile/ps4/xbox) are things that you do if you're on your own or at different locations and on chat, otherwise it's card or board games. It's a rare week someone doesn't ask "anyone want a game of...?" And my Nan only stays anywhere for longer than it takes for her drink to cool if some sort of game starts 
We tend to alternate cooperative and competitive games, that way you don't build up a losing streak and avoid bad feelings.
We also have scrabble, backgammon, cludo, monopoly, chess, reversi, other classics, but while someone might fancy Chinese checkers once in a while, these are mostly dust collectors.
CAH is fun at first (unless it's changed recently the creator has the original deck available as a free pdf if you want to view it) older teens/uni aged young adults, and even savvy 14yo+ teens tend to really enjoy it, as do retirement age relatives, however we found that it got old kinda fast, as things that rely on shock value tend to do.
