To vote Lib Dem?

Help me out. Are there any glaringly obvious reasons not to vote for them? I've never voted Labour and I don't feel that my previous party aligns with my views... doing online quizzes on my beliefs comes out with majority Lib Dem!

I just hope we get a political change 🤷🏻‍♀️

Dave should never have had a referendum with no plan never mind TM.

Depending on your constituency, a LibDem vote may let Labour in by the back door...

I'm very unhappy about their stance on self I.D., but the Lib Dems have held my constituency for ages, followed by the Tories, then Labour way behind. So I'm voting LD to keep the Tories out. Voting Labour would probably let the Tories in.

The jumping in to bed with the tories narrative is getting old, and doesn't really reflect the reality. In 2010 the Conservative party were by far the largest party in a hung parliament and therefore the only legitimate party who could practically and morally form a government. Clegg decided that because of this, the only way to move the country forward was to enter coalition. Now, the Lib Dems were the most junior of coalition partners. For every Lib Dem MP there were 5-6 Conservative MPs. They did not have the casting vote on policies and were in no position to make large scale demands, although could, and did moderate the so say more extreme policies.

I don't know how long the electorate are going to continue to batter the libs for their selfless act in seeing the country through a potentially unstable time in politics, even if it did mean compromising some of their more radical policies.

If you want to support them OP, support them.

If you didn’t hear the interview on R4 this morning I do suggest having a listen.

Labour for me and as it turns out they are also the best party to vote for tactically in my area. I do like some of the policies for the Lib Dem's but I do disagree with the revoking of article 50 and I am a remainer. I do agree hugely with a people's vote. Let the country decide whether the final deal is good enough for us to vote for. If it's not then we stay. Simple as. We've had years to get the best possible agreement so let's see if it's actually good enough for us.

At this stage, and with things as bad as they, as well as our FPTP system, I think only tactical voting is likely to make a change. A shame really but there you go.
