To feel hungover after 2 cocktails?

I am only 22, I had two cocktails last night to avoid being hungover. I have woke up today with a definite hangover! It's not awful but definitely there. Why would that happen?

I get migraines from sulphites but that's generally wine not cocktails.

Alcohol is a toxin and some people suffer more damage from it than others.
