Not one Tory placard, not one Tory canvasser at our door, no Tory spam on my FB, Twitter feed...

Who are they targeting? Where are they?

(Not a bad thing I might add, but I see labour/lib dem everywhere.

Is it different elsewhere? If so, where are you?

They’ll be focussing on marginal seats , there’s nothing in any windows or signs around here for any political party - I think people are apathetic about it

nicslackey · 08/12/2019 16:01

Epic Shit
Anybody that says they vote any other way than Labour and the sainted JC immediately gets told they are a living breathing child eating, kitten murdering vile excuse of a cunt

No, not at all. Just Tory voters. I do not vote Labour btw

Kit30 · 08/12/2019 16:23

But I'm not a Tory voter so why do Labour supporters treat me as they've do when I ask questions or challenge their assumptions or ideology,Nickslackey?

ListeningQuietly · 08/12/2019 16:25

Its not one way to be fair...im not a labour supporter but ive lost count of the times when I criticise a tory policy and get a load of ‘labour are.....’ in response

Aycharow · 08/12/2019 16:27

I have given up being serious about this election Grin

Kit30 · 08/12/2019 16:39

Maybe we could get them together in one room Rufus, but ask them to be naice , use the conch shell and only Smileuse their inside voices?

TowelNumber42 · 08/12/2019 16:40

I've had leaflets from all the parties and I live in an awkward place to leaflet.

Surely only students and extremists put up posters in their windows? I very rarely see any up round here.

Why would how I plan to vote matter one jot to my neighbours? Why would I want to know how they are voting? I don't decide who to vote for based on whether nice that Mrs Smith at number 46a is voting for them or not.

My ILs have a poster up but they are old as the hills as well as being party activists who would vote Labour no matter what was in the manifesto. It's tribal for them.

MrsFruitcake · 08/12/2019 16:52

I also know if nobody planning to vote Labour and the only canvassers we've had were for Labour. Very safe Conservative seat where I am.

Northernsoullover · 08/12/2019 16:57

If I were a Tory no way on this planet would I admit to it. The vitriol I have seen from Labour supporters is unreal. I now assume people without a placard are tories. I imagine if you put a placard up your house would get egged. If you admitted to it on Facebook you would probably get told to die. I still have no idea who to vote for Confused

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 08/12/2019 17:23

Just drove 5 miles to pick my husband up, the most massive Tory poster in a garden (rectory by a church) and 4 smaller ones. No Labour. No LibDem. Very safe Conservative Seat. Very good local MP. Young, gets involved in local issues, very evident locally. A remainer but toes the party line. I hope he’s re elected.

chomalungma · 08/12/2019 17:29

They are there - in the large swathe of blue across most of the UK in election maps

That's because election maps are deceiving.

Most non - Conservative voters tend to be clustered in cities - where as Conservative have more rural representation.

This means that a map of the UK is going to look more Conservative than a proper map of the constituencies because rural constituencies have a bigger area.

The reality

To wonder where all the Tories are?
BuzzShitbagBobbly · 08/12/2019 18:00

Next week tens of millions of people will vote Conservative; and tens of millions will vote Labour. Some other millions will vote Libdem, SNP, Plaid, Green etc.

The ones on this thread who arrogantly think millions of people are wrong and therefore deserving of pathetic personal slurs, just for voting differently to them, are the ones who need to take a hard look at themselves.

Millions can't all be Socialist Twits, just like millions can't all be 1% Toffs.

Get over yourselves and admit you only like democracy when it goes your way.

RufusthebewiIderedreindeer · 08/12/2019 18:06

Maybe we could get them together in one room Rufus, but ask them to be naice , use the conch shell and only smileuse their inside voices?

Can we lock the room and head to the pub?

Cos if so i am deffo up for that

Ive just realised i will have consumed numerous goadses of prosecco on the 12th...ds2 said ‘wait...are you going to be drunk when you vote????’

He was horrified...personally i think it would help!

Well I wouldn’t do that

Dogsaresomucheasier · 08/12/2019 18:12

They are conspicuous by their absence around here, too. I don’t know what to make of it because people are normally willing to support them round here. I mean, you may as well stick an “I’m a cunt” sign in your window, and maybe that’s a bit more obvious now, but it will be interesting to see what happens on Thursday.

lau888 · 08/12/2019 18:19

Pretty sure I've seen flyers for both the Tory and Labours parties through our letterbox. (Haven't seen anything for other parties, as yet.) Maybe no one has been leafleting in your area?

Your FB/Twitter feed is influenced by what/who you follow and what your friends post/tweet, etc. If you don't follow any Tory pages/tweeps or your friends don't post/retweet any Tory links, you won't see any Tory news items in your feed. You might see some in-line advertising, depending on your browser cookies and which websites you visit.

Kit30 · 08/12/2019 18:58

I'll get the first round in Rufus!
