In the BBC debate he gave a ridiculous answer that deliberately avoids and makes light of honesty and how he behaves, yet Nick Robinson didn’t challenge him. Why and how does he get away with talking shite?

Agree. Hopefully people can see him for what he is. A bumbling buffoon.

lifecouldbeadream · 07/12/2019 07:03

Nick Robinson is a conservative.... see his track record.....

HollysBush · 07/12/2019 07:04

Hoist by his own petard. I would hope most people could make up their own opinion of him after that response. Very childish and disrespectful.

longwayoff · 07/12/2019 07:10

What's the point? We can see what he is. Many people are choosing to admire or ignore it and the interview took place in Kent, prime Brexit country. Pretty pointless all round.

Elodie2019 · 07/12/2019 07:19

It was pitiful. He really is an idiot.

Imagine if a candidate gave that answer in any other job interview situation?
Would you give him the job?
The panel would think WTF and wave him off.

JC went on to give an appropriate, intelligent answer.

BJ is a moron.

Beveren · 07/12/2019 07:26

The fact that he thinks lying to the electorate is something to joke about demonstrates how little respect he has for us.

longwayoff · 07/12/2019 07:42

Apparently, post interview, audience 52% v 48% in favour of BJ. Oh God, it's all so grim. This bloody buffoon is going to be PM for 5 YEARS whilst his mates continue to asset strip what's left of this country. I am beyond depressed.

RoseHippy1 · 07/12/2019 07:44

Because the BBC and that particular interviewer support the Tories.

lowlandLucky · 07/12/2019 07:55

Every politician lies not just Conservative ones

StreetwiseHercules · 07/12/2019 07:58

Nick Robinson is an out and out Tory.

missyB1 · 07/12/2019 08:02

BBC have made it clear which party they are backing.

aquashiv · 07/12/2019 08:03

It will be named the Boris factor. People know he lies that he isn't to be trusted but he charms people with his immature slightly naughty responses.
Fucking depressing

Elodie2019 · 07/12/2019 08:45

Why are so many people charmed by his 'immature slightly naughty responses' though?
I don't understand it!
He isn't funny or amusing, he's rude, arrogant and has no respect for anyone or anything.

TabbyMumz · 07/12/2019 09:09

We all know that all politicians lie, I think he was trying to make a lighthearted response. Some people like that, some people dont.

ThanosSavedMe · 07/12/2019 09:12

People have been brainwashed into thinking JC is a terrorist sympathiser and that labour will leave us in more debt

User7429001 · 07/12/2019 09:25

I don't understand why people think he is a capable of running the country. All his answers are snappy soundbites he is incapable of deeper debate and he waffles and mumbles through that. He lies ,he's shambolic and morally bankrupt. It is beyond me as to why people think he is worthy of a vote

Babybel90 · 07/12/2019 09:28

I blame Jeremy Corbyn, if he really wanted Labour to get into power he’d have stood down and let someone the public could vote for lead the party.

TabbyMumz · 07/12/2019 09:57

"I don't understand why people think he is a capable of running the country."
And yet he has been running the Country perfectly well for some time now?

HollowTalk · 07/12/2019 09:58

But Nick Robinson didn't challenge either of them - he asked the questions and let them speak.

PettyContractor · 07/12/2019 11:56

He give a comical answer to a silly question. He took the question as seriously as it deserved. (What the above quote doesn't make clear is that he bent his phrasing so that it was Corbyn who was the liar on his knees, who should be beating himself with the document he had waved at the public previously.)

Stooshie8 · 07/12/2019 12:01

Such a relief to have someone with a sense of humour. Politicians in the lime light have to be so empathetic these days. I'm sure they do feel happy/ sad when a voter has a win / disaster but we all know they have a dozen things on their mind at any one time. I'd prefer if everyone was more realistic.

MrsMaiselsMuff · 07/12/2019 12:02

And yet he has been running the Country perfectly well for some time now?

Are we still talking about the UK? I'm at a loss as to what he has achieved. The record for the greatest number of government defeats? Greatest number of MPs lost? Greatest number of food bank users?

MrsMaiselsMuff · 07/12/2019 12:03

I'd prefer if everyone was more realistic.

Doesn't realism assume a certain level of honesty?

Stooshie8 · 07/12/2019 12:05

nd that labour will leave us in more debt
Well they want to borrow a lot so surely that means debt.

LemonGingerCakes · 07/12/2019 12:06

@longwayoff

Apparently (I didn’t know this) yougove is owned by two conservatives.

The poll was open from 9:30-9:40 and not everyone was invited to vote. A very small number of voters aged under 25 were polled and a large number of over 65.

Methinks some misleading journalism is going on 🤔

(There’s loads of screenshots on twitter, but I can’t download them).
