In the BBC debate he gave a ridiculous answer that deliberately avoids and makes light of honesty and how he behaves, yet Nick Robinson didn’t challenge him. Why and how does he get away with talking shite?

And yet he has been running the Country perfectly well for some time now?

By illegally proroguing parliament for as long as possible so that none of them were able to do any work?

JC was awful. Instead of answering questions he just trotted out pre-prepared scripts he must have spent hours learning. May as well have been a computerised voice like Alexa answering the questions.

People are drawn to his sense of rebellion. The amusing slightly dense toff.
He likes mocking people situations himself Everyone knows it's a front. The affable guy routine. People also think that he will make Britain great again. He channels Churchill which to many is the quintessential British statesmen.
Plus what's the alternative?
No one wants another referendum everyone has had enough of Brexit. He will win go to final negiations and come out holding a German turnip saying we won..We will all have a street party and wave our union jacks.

Just over 100 days. And it’s been shambolic.

@TabbyMumz and yet he has been running the Country perfectly well for some time now?

May I ask where you reside? And what your line of employment is?

Boiledeggandtoast · 07/12/2019 12:41

LemonGingerCakes That is very interesting about Yougov, I didn't know that either.

Funny how people can witness exactly the same scene and interpret COMPLETELY differently to the next person. JC was very impressive next to BoJo, he knew his stuff. Don’t think he said “er” once. Grin Boris was just playing a part and very clearly hadn’t prepared well enough. In his arrogance he thinks if he says the magic words direct to camera enough “let’s get Brexit done” and “take back control” the people will eventually be under his spell. Unfortunately, while many of us can see right through this, it’s looking more and more like he has succeeded.

@LemonGingerCakes, thanks, I didn't know that, useful to know.

He is not a buffoon. Be much less dangerous if he were. It is his act to get people to like him.
