AIBU to buy a pregnancy test?

I have been recently diagnosed with infertility, being told I have 'a very low chance' of becoming pregnant after three years TTC.

But, I'm 6 days late for my period. I'm on day 36 of this cycle, which is usually 27 days and regular. I have my usual PMT symptoms of sore boobs and mild cramping but have been feeling mildly nauseous which I don't usually get. However, I haven't had my usual tiredness or emotions.

Am I being unreasonable if I buy a pregnancy test this evening? I don't want to get my hopes up and have the test be negative.. or should I just wait and see what happens?

I'm confused op. Congratulations but in July 2018 you appear to have a 13 week old - ttc for three years or one?

girl78 · 06/12/2019 13:12

I'm overwhelmed and never thought I could be this happy :) It's the best Christmas present, ever

@Noeuf

Does it matter? OP is pregnant and thrilled, advanced search detective work is irrelevant and frankly inappropriate here.

girl78 · 06/12/2019 13:16

@Noeuf - That was a breastfeeding post which I posted for my very best friend, as she was struggling with BF and she asked me to write a post as she knew I was on Mumsnet but she wasn't :)
I came off of contraception in March 2017 x

Not really @MimosasAllRound lots of made up posts unfortunately and posting about long term infertility and also a new baby is a bit odd. Op has cleared it up now.
