AIBU to buy a pregnancy test?

I have been recently diagnosed with infertility, being told I have 'a very low chance' of becoming pregnant after three years TTC.

But, I'm 6 days late for my period. I'm on day 36 of this cycle, which is usually 27 days and regular. I have my usual PMT symptoms of sore boobs and mild cramping but have been feeling mildly nauseous which I don't usually get. However, I haven't had my usual tiredness or emotions.

Am I being unreasonable if I buy a pregnancy test this evening? I don't want to get my hopes up and have the test be negative.. or should I just wait and see what happens?

How lovely - congratulations.

FWIW, investigatory blood tests suggested I wasn't ovulating, and we were told we were unlikely to conceive a second child without assistance. Got a positive test weeks later. She is 11 now.

Congratulations. I got told one month I had below 6% chance of getting pregnant and implantation would be challenging after that. So I stopped all medicines and relaxed.
Pregnant the next month with exactly the same symptoms as you. Strong test lines and a very "sticky and strong baby". Now 7 months. I am thrilled for you.
